I put my subjects at the focus of the story, told primarily by the 'in-between" moments which happen without anyone noticing.

A lovely sibling shoot in Walton Gardens and an exciting cake smash session for my youngest sons first birthday.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
With a background in journalism, I have always found the moments worth capturing are often the ones which happen spontaneously and unknowingly as this is when a person's essence can be exposed naturally, making for a powerful image and an even better memory.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
If it is in regard to wedding photography, I'd want to know more about you both as a couple so I can make sure I direct you and photograph in a way which will create perfectly natural pictures which reflect both of your personalities. In this respect, I would ask you questions such as your hobbies, likes and dislikes, how long you've been together, how you met etc.
Family portraits are similar in that I would ask you questions about you and your little ones to ensure your photographs reflected you as a family.
What do you love most about your job?
I love to throw myself into capturing and telling people's stories, always allowing the creation of the photograph to be centered around the myriad of human emotion and their experiences, rather than the other way around. I love creating something which you can treasure forever for yourself and future generations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It is only once I left university that I realised I could put my years of experience and avid interest in photography into practice, creating a business around my utmost favourite hobby. I wake up every day excited to start the day and can't wait to get to work.
