I offer solution focused hypnotherapy to treat a variety of conditions including anxiety, weight loss, phobias, sleep problems, IBS, fertility, post natal depression, stopping smoking, low confidence levels, motivation and exam stress. The sessions are split into two parts. Part 1 is psychotherapy where we talk about the brain and how/why it works in the way that it does and how we can create change - this helps you understand why we behave in the way that we do, and how we can reach the place that we want to be.

Having always been sceptical about Hypnotherapy I decided to approach Victoria to help with specific issues I had.
Victoria is a great listener and understood clearly the problem and outlined the path to fix it. Explaining how the brain works and why I continued to follow the same patterns, with her help and the weekly sessions , change my brains thinking and cured the problem.
Cannot thank her enough.

Myself and the team have been delivering counselling and mental health services for a number of years, and this was for other companies on a contract basis. This work has been varied and rewarding, and we wanted to open up the services we can deliver to a wider audience!
We pride ourselves in delivering what our clients need, so everything we do is tailored towards the individual. Taking a Person Centred Approach is right at the heart of what we do, and we will always look at what the best support is for each person. We also have a broad range of skills in our team, take an integrative approach looking at the different types of counselling and psychological approaches, and are passionate about finding the best approaches to use for each person. We are also trained professionals registered with appropriate professional bodies including BACP, HCPC and NMC, and the service itself is also accredited with BACP.
We provide all of our counselling sessions on-line. This has been the main way for most of us to stay connected over the last couple of ears, and we have found this approach works really well in terms of ease of access to services, and allows us the flexibility to work with clients from any part of the country.
We deliver all of our Counselling sessions remotely. This was originally to ensure the safety of our clients and staff during the pandemic, but we have since found this works well for clients as it's more convenient, removes the need for travel, and ensures continued safety as well.
How much do Therapists cost?
This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.
This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.
Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.
How do I find the right Therapist?
You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.
It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.
How many sessions of Therapy will I need?
Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.
You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.
It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.
What should I look for in a Therapist?
Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.
You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.
What are the benefits of Therapy?
Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.
Can I get a Therapist online?
Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
