What do you love most about your job?

I've always been fascinated by people and what makes them tick. I've always been intrigued by what makes me tick.
This natural, curious need within me, is fully met by working as a Therapist.
Fifteen years ago I worked for a period of years at Oxford College, working with teenagers with special needs and behavioural issues.
I then moved to Manchester where I worked for the Government in an organisation called Connexions. Here, I worked with 13-19 year olds with 'issues'. These issues could range from lack of confidence, anxiety, depression, homelessness, addiction, gang members, young offenders to any other example of why a young person may not be in work or education.
I adored my job, yet always felt overly restricted by red tape and agencies. I believed there was more I could do to make a difference in these young people's lives.
After 6 years I moved to the tropics of Australia, where I lived for 10 years. In 2016 I came back to the UK and in turn Calmology evolved.
The techniques I have learnt along my journey, combined within my clinical training, enable me to finally make the difference that makes the difference for individuals and families!

I categorically believe there is no better career than Calmology.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I believed that by creating Calmology, it would be an opportunity to create fast change for people wanting to notice a difference in their situation.
Non-religious, non-spiritual. Just psychological techniques that are evidence based and work.

Why should our clients choose you?

If you are looking for a 'real person', who is natural, perky, smiley, and has the odd imperfection but loves striving for greatness... I welcome you to make contact with me.
If you've tried other therapies and therapists, however, change hasn't happened for you... I welcome you to make contact with me.
If you've tried hypnotherapy before and it doesn't work for you... I welcome you to make contact with me.

I'm very easy-going. Sessions can be 'relax and go deeper' or can be upbeat, choppy, fast paced, eyes open and very interractive.
Whatever works for you, works for me. I am like Mary Poppins with techniques... and believe there's a technique-toolkit for everyone.
My phrase is: 'With the right techniques and right therapist for you, change can and will happen. Let's tackle this together.'

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I work both online and in-person. I have found that in-person and online sessions are as effective as one another.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

More clients choose to work online, however when seeing clients at the Arch Clinic, specific protocol is followed to ensure the safety for all.
Clients seeing me in-person will receive a 'Covid-19 In-Person Protocol' sheet from me prior to their appointment.
