Hello, I'm Jo and I'm a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist offering individual counselling to adults over the age of 18, in person, online and over the phone. My background is in therapeutic counselling, but I include elements from other counselling approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy and Trauma-informed therapy to suit the needs of my clients. What can I expect from counselling? I will provide you with a safe, relaxed and confidential place to share your worries and concerns and to talk through the challenges you are currently facing. We can explore what has led you to seek counselling without fear of judgement. Often talking things through helps us to make sense of the difficulties we are experiencing and ultimately help us to move forward in our lives. Choosing a counsellor can feel like a daunting process which is why I offer a free, no-obligation, initial consultation so that you can get a feel for whether you think I can help. Counselling sessions are typically 50 mins on a weekly basis and I recommend starting with six sessions initially. I am happy to work on a short or long term basis to suit your needs.
