What do you love most about your job?

I feel really lucky to be doing this work - it is a privilege that I feel every day. I don't make out that I am completely sorted and therefore am able to help others. It doesnt work like that. I am on my own journey, discovering myself all the time. People trust me to work with what is holding them back from their full potential, and it's just a wonderful journey that we can make together. Whatever has brought me to this point where I am able to do that, I am grateful for it.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I used to think of myself as an artist and that my creativity would come in the form of a painting or a song or something like that. But someone suggested to me that creativity was not just that and that being 'in the moment' with another person, as one is in the therapy room, involves just as much creativity but in a different way to art. This led me to thinking differently about what I really want to do in the world and I slowly opened to the idea of myself as a therapist.

Why should our clients choose you?

My focus is on the relationship in the present - it has always been important to me to really 'see' the person I am with. In my training I have learned also not to just hear the words but to also hear underlying processes and to be able to help bring this into awareness. I am particularly interested in how things show themselves in the body: in sensations, pain, constrictions etc.
I believe I have a gentle approach; I am conscious to follow the pace of my clients and meet them where they are rather than in my own idea of where they need to be. I am a believer in the power of compassion in the therapeutic space. As a therapist I need to be in touch with it and I encourage it in my clients. Often finding compassion for oneself can be a huge step in allowing healing.
