I am a person centered counsellor who believes we are all individuals. Everyone deserves someone who they can talk to in a relaxed manner whilst maintaining confidential.

About me How counselling can help ? Many of us face a variety of challenges and ups and downs throughout our life. Sometimes the support of friends or families can help us to overcome these hurdles, other times we can manage by ourselves. Sometimes however, this may not be possible, or some additional support may be needed. A professional counsellor can help us to effectively explore or change something in our lives which may be holding us back or stopping us from reaching our potential.

Hi guys, I am a cognitive hypnotherapist, trained with the Quest institute in London. We 'Questies' draw from NLP, CBT, EFT, Gestalt, and positive psychology, to tailor a bespoke and unique treatment plan for each of our clients. This gets supported and enhanced by a so called Word-Weaving, which is based on the solutions and goals of my clients. To explain it in a nutshell I have uploaded a 3 minutes explainer video to this page.

A few sessions with Evelyn gave me a support blanket for life.
I have been living with Multiple Sclerosis for 17 years but recently became overwhelmed with the struggle to keep going and stay positive. I felt I had to re-set and untangle all my symptoms so I surrounded myself with all the help I could access, Tai-chi, pain relief, physio, relaxation classes and counselling. I was still scolding myself however for not being happy when other people were worse than me, I felt guilty, angry and exhausted. A friend urged me to contact Evelyn as she thought she would be good for me. I was cynical and pessimistic as had tried so many therapies but was assured that Evelyn would work hard to give me what I needed at the time. I reluctantly made contact and felt initial resistance at Skyping and having to go over the familiar sequences of counselling. My 'whats the point' attitude actually shifted. Knowing the answers and what you should do is not enough. Evelyn encouraged me to work through the feelings that arose, hear them, play with them using different visualisation techniques, timelines, tapping, until I had voiced them, understood them and stood back from them. In a very short time I had relaxed, cried, laughed and breathed relief within each session! The time was very interactive as we chatted like friends yet Evelyn was able to follow my lead on what I needed and what worked best for me and guide the session along so it still felt structured. An important difference that I have not experienced before was that in between our sessions I didn't feel dropped - I felt that Evelyn had really invested her time in me and would send e-mails for links on dietry advise, articles, suggested reading, bespoke meditation recordings - anything she thought might be of benefit and this was not only helpful in my own 'support toolbox' but also made me feel like she was always there for me to fall back on - she became my comfort blanket. I really felt like she had picked me up and set me off on the road again and although I have no future sessions booked in with her at the moment, I certainly plan to keep checking in. The change in me was noticeable not only to myself but to friends and family too. I stopped struggling and made space for creative energy and felt so much happier and lighter. I am still using her techniques and suggestions regularly as they nudge me back on track. When I realised that I wasn't just paying money for an hours session, but was investing in the healing of my hurts and making things easier and brighter in my everyday, it became much easier to find the money to put aside. I would recommend that everybody has Evelyn in their lives at some point as she would undoubtedly leave a positive healing support blanket for them to curl up in when needed.

I was at a very low point in my life when I started working with Dave from Hubholistic. I tried counselling from somewhere else before I was introduced to Dave, and felt worse. I can only say that I am now a much happier, more confident, and competent person and finally more in control of my life. Dave and his wife Sue are lovely people and wonderful to work with. Thank you.
I would highly recommend Hubholistic
