What inspired you to start your own business?

Our first sparkle, our ‘Birth’ day was back in 2003. I had been based in London for sometime working for a large catering and events company as well as dipping my toe into the world of venue management. Along came a boy which led to a move to Brighton, where I landed myself a job as Head of Live Communications but quickly realised that there was a better way of operating and I wanted to do things differently. I wanted to allow my passion and creativity to drive a business that looked at the long term picture and really delivered results. Building relationships with my clients, adding value and providing a unique bespoke approach to their events was where I wanted to be.

So take a shot of daydreaming, a measure of inspiration and a sprinkle of belief and the Pretty Clever Cocktail was born. Pretty Clever Events is now in its 14th year with a healthy portfolio of both corporate and private clients.
