I started Hoopla Events because for as long as I've known, I've had a passion for planning events and collaborating with people. My other passion is a cause that is close to my heart: my love for everything adoption! Both of my children are adopted, so this cause is extremely meaningful to me. So I thought…why not create a model combining my two passions? – plan incredible events and include the philanthropic component for my clients.

My 20+ years of experience in the advertising industry working with clients on large-scale accounts to bring brands to life ended up being a seamless transition to my own business. My clients had the utmost trust in my skills to ensure a high-quality product would be delivered as per the strategy, direction, timeline, and budget specified. These skills contributed to bringing stories to life for my new event planning clients over the years.

Mario very professionally helped us host a challenging event which celebrated a joint 115-year birthday party, (75 for me and 40 for my son), which understandably included guests ranging in age from my son's age to those who were more ``legerement ageé``. Mario did a great job reading the room with appropriate music and generally kept the party going which contributed to a successful event that all enjoyed. We found him to be easy to work with, and competent, and would recommend him and his photo booth for your event.

Working with Joan at Popup Event space/JM Events was an absolute pleasure. Not only did I click with her personally but she knew exactly what my vision was and executed it. I had incorporated extra decor and special touches and she ensured it aligned with the entire theme. Set-up to clean-up was fast and thorough & she was patient with my family and friends exiting the venue. Overall, from beginning to end Joan delivered exactly what was expected. Thank you!
