‘20 Certificate of Excellence

I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist and Holistic Practitioner. I work in a range of modalities which include nutritional science, naturopathy, purposeful supplementation, herbalism and energetic therapies, where appropriate. I have been working in this field for around 18 years and I love my work; I have a gift for tracking dis-ease and matching the nutritional needs of a person with easy goals, empathy and compassion. Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine. It is incredibly versatile and can be used to aid general wellbeing right through to addressing deep rooted chronic dis-ease; those of whom see specialist after specialist with little success. Nutritional Therapy is effective not only because it is incredibly scientific but it targets the individual and ones long-term imbalances at a cellar level. It is also a bespoke way of healing where food is used as a prescription to health alongside naturopathic techniques to support the body during the changes. If you choose my help I will find the root cause of the dis-ease and often many symptoms are similar a manifestation of a single problem, including weight issues. I have success in helping clients to find a healthy weight and maintain their correct weight. Sadly there are no quick fixes in nutrition for weight loss or finding health. I do not recommend ‘pop-nutrition’ diet regimes as cutting out any single food group or following restrictive diets can be dangerous long-term; rather we address the root cause and create a bespoke plan with health at the forefront of weight loss. As most root causes are at a cellar level you can expect our first consultation to take around 1-2 hours where we take a case history detailing inheritance, dietary habits and a life-events timeline which enables me to see the nutrients you were born with, what you have obtained or been deficient in during periods of your life and then the levels of stress that your body has been subjected too. Once we take all these factors into consideration and together we formulate a plan and decided what treatments would suit you best. I then go away and write up a full report. You can expect to pay £135 for the first consultation with follow-ups considerably less. You will also be given a significant number of goals for around a period of 3 months so very much value for money. I offer payment schemes so that clients that are in difficult circumstance can still invest in their health. If you have bone issues such as swollen joints and arthritis, digestive issues such as IBS or acid reflux or poor skin integrity, autoimmune or signs of blood toxicity such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, anxiety, stress, insomnia or hormonal disorders then please do get in touch I offer a free initial call so I can explain how I can help you and answer any questions that you may have. Please note, that I am not recommending Nutritional Therapy as a replacement for medical advice; if you suffering from a chronic dis-ease you must be under the care of a GP or specialist so we can work together to achieve the best and safest outcome for you.
I also very much welcome people who are searching for dietary advice as this is a real passion for me. I work with canines also! I am very experienced when it comes to nutrient requirements and nutrition is a remarkable and exciting subject. You will want to chat for hours. I welcome enquiries from anyone with specific dietary questions, those follow vegan or vegetarian diets but feel they may be lacking in areas of their diet. I am straight talking and can simply tell you where you are going wrong and what you need to do to solve your problems in easy and simple goals. Consultations are between £55-75. As a holistic therapist I love supporting clients through anxiety and those in need of life-coaching. I work with colour, meditation, vision quests, angel work and crystals with a spiritual and psychological backdrop, which compliments my holistic techniques and nutritional therapy perfectly - fix your physiology and fix your mind! I welcome all enquires big or small so please do not hesitate to get in touch. All my services are suited to the canine too and we have great results. You can also find us on Facebook at Leaf Naturopathics, Leaf Retreat and Independent Canine Holisitics. Thank you Margaret

How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Our cellular health is over-looked in conventional medicine. The health of our single cell reflects throughout our body and into our emotions. A scared cell creates fearful emotions. Our modern day diets are crippling our cellular functions, nutrition literally is the backbone to health and well - food heals!

What do you love most about your job?

I know what it is like to be in pain, to be judged, to struggle. And you know when you just need to find that person that can listen and understand you. I love being able to make clients feel better. Listening to clients story in a case history is an incredibly rewarding role, knowing they put their trust in you. When I listen I get excited to transfer their pain into a positive experience which they can develop from. I get excited because naturopathics, nutrition and energetics opens up to a much bigger world and is actually a way of life; I love being the first person that can help them to begin their journey into relating the Earth is magical and our body is amazing.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was born with a congenital condition which is incredibly rare. Doctors could not help as a child and so I was always seeking ways to heal myself which lead me down very many diverse and wonderful avenues which I studied and experienced part-time during my teaching career. I found nutrition, herbalism and energetics to be remarkable, extremely beneficial and just so interesting that I decided to become a professional in Nutritional Healing and Holistics. I retired from teaching and lecturing so I could do the work I loved full time as business so I could help others.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am empathic, compassionate and non-judgemental. We all do our best and I am here simply to help. I am good at what I do and very experienced. I heal in a unique way and with great success.
