I offer 1-1 coaching sessions using an informal, friendly approach but with a questioning style to encourage clients to think and reflect on their words, which allows them to create actions to move forward with. I am an MBTI step 2 practitioner and can do 1-1 or team feedback sessions on both Step 1 and 2 with detailed examples to help bring the subject to life and for clients to better understand what their profile means for them, their colleagues and their direct reports. I facilitate seminars on adopting coaching as part of your leadership style. These can be half, or full day sessions depending what the client is looking for. I can facilitate other training sessions including team days where an external facilitator without connections to the team is considered of value.

What do you love most about your job?

That most of my work is about talking to and getting to know different people. That often people come to coaching with one issue and end up realising it is something else that is the sticking point. It's great to get the opportunity to add value and hopefully make a difference to people's lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have, for some years, had the desire to run my own business. I went part time from a training and development role with John Lewis some years ago to start things up but actually spent most of the time with my running coaching work which I also love. The arrival of a baby girl also limited my availability to develop the business but I have had the opportunity in the last year and am very much enjoying the process and the chance to meet and work with new and different people.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have worked in corporate life for John Lewis for over 30 years. More than half of that time has been spent in learning and development roles where coaching has always played its part. I have recently taken redundancy during a Personnel re-structure which is the second one I have experienced in 5 years. I have delivered training on managing change and have experienced big change myself so feel I come from a place of experience and empathy when speaking with coaching clients about change. I have an informal and friendly approach but am perceptive and have a reputation for being able to get to the nub of the issue with effective questioning. This process allows you to take your time and think more deeply about your subject or issue. I believe in arriving at some form of action from a session and will encourage you to think about what that might be for you. I am non-judgemental and completely confidential and offer you a chance to focus purely on yourself and your subject matter and will give you my absolute complete attention for the duration of our time together.
