By reading the Dancefloor I can see what songs are keeping guests dancing. With 17yrs experience I know which songs work & which doesn't. It tends to be alot of the classics more popular songs for Weddings and Celebratory occasions, 70'S, 80'S 90'S. With younger guests I can adapt and play more recent music, RnB, UKG. Every event is different. Sometimes guests like me to play from their playlist then fill in the gaps with my own music, or some guests prefer I don't deviate from the playlist at all. I'm experienced enough to cater for whatever is given to me, assuring your event will be the best it can possibly be!
My style is Popular, I don't play anything that guests won't be familiar with. Nothing too heavy and nothing that you couldn't have a boogie to!
There's nothing better than a full dancefloor, if I can keep people dancing from start to finish and everyone is chanting for "One more Song" at the end of the evening I know I have done a fantastic job. Even if the dancefloor isn't full, if I see people at the bar or around a table tapping there feet, bopping their head, then they're enjoing what i'm playing. That makes me happy :-)
