I have been a DJ for over 15 years on both community radio, where I previously presented a weekly show promoting independent music from around the world, and live, providing music for clients ranging from corporate functions to weddings.
Initially, I set out by organising club nights which varied from Soul Weekenders to specialist events. As time has progressed, I have worked for a number of established agencies like En Masse Productions, regularly playing at Madame Tussauds, the London Dungeons and the London Aquarium as well as a number of Thames party cruises. I have also performed at a few festivals over the years.
For all of these events, I put together DJ sets from across the eras and genres, covering all tastes and always with the client at the heart of the selections.
When not DJing out, I host a website called The Alternative 9 Music Review which continues to promote and review independent music spanning Soul, World and Jazz to Electronica, House, Techno, Reggae and Experimental music. I also regularly produce mixes on Mixcloud, which can be found on www.mixcloud.com/emancipatio.
