Hi, I just wanted to reach out to see how I can support you and your team with your personal and professional wellbeing. My mission is to make counselling and coaching as socially acceptable as getting a leg wax! Covid has changed our lives and it’s unlikely our lives will return to “normal” any time soon so reaching out for help adjusting to our ‘new normal’ is a natural first step but for too long seeking counselling and coaching has been seen as something we should be ashamed of but I want to change that.

Therapy helped me. It can help you too. I’ve been where you might be right now…stuck, wanting to change and not knowing how. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery can be daunting and challenging. I’m privileged to be able to guide others to their own transformation. My goal is to help clients find both the meaning for their behaviours as well as a clear understanding of what’s holding them back, always encouraging them to find the “gift of growth” in every situation.

The Mind Guide: (gīd) n. one who leads on a journey, one who shows the way through difficulty or danger. Origin: Old English - ‘to look after’. My name is Cindy Pearce and I am an experienced Registered Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Healer practising in Islington, North London. Wherever you are in your life right now, chances are that if you are reading this, you are looking for help with emotional problems or psychological challenges.
Being a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I provide a non-judgmental and empathetic service. I am trained and experienced in working with both adults and young people and have vast experience in working with autistic adults. The combination of my own life experiences and my work life have given me a wealth of experience that has developed my understanding of how individuals may feel in the world we live in. I believe we are the experts of our own lives but sometimes we allow past events or influences of our environments to alter our true self. I offer a safe environment to provide a listening ear and to empower you to explore your inner self and to encourage you to get to where you want to be. Experiences and events of all varieties and magnitude, both large and small play a part in who we are and how we see and feel in the world we live in. I work with clients to explore possible reasons why you feel the way you do, tracing it back to your past while safely and responsibly exploring this with you if you wish. We then work together to focus on the now and how your learned behaviours are impacting on your life today. Having graduated with a Degree in Criminology and Social Policy, I volunteered doing youth work until I started work as a one-to-one Personal Advisor to young people for 7 years. Whilst focussing on my studies I worked for two years at a Carers agency offering voluntary counselling before setting up private practice. I now manage the counselling team alongside my private practice.
I love that I can build strong professional relationships with my clients, that allow them to feel secure enough to talk to me about what is causing them concern or upset in their lives. I feel that it is a privilege for clients to trust me and for them to want me to empower them and support them in whatever changes they want to make.
My inspiration for starting my own business comes from wanting to be in control of my working life and ensuring it fits around my private life. I received strong positive feedback about my work and felt that the timing was right to move forward and be my own boss. I also wanted to work in the way that I felt was most therapeutic for my clients and although we all follow ethical guidelines, as therapists we all work slightly differently therefore I wanted to embrace my own ideas and make them a reality.
I work using an integrative model where I combine working with the here and now, empowering my clients to make there own choices, and also look at the past and why patterns of behaviour have developed the way they have. I can build a strong relationship with my clients and be able to listen, support and also challenge my clients. I feel comfortable having difficult conversations and sitting with difficult feelings. I am very reliable and will always put my clients interests first.
I work online or via the telephone only. The platform I use is secure and I follow GDPR. I work from a confidential space, a sound proof space.
Working remotely and being flexible with cancellations due to COVID.
