Offering a warm welcome and somewhere calm and confidential to talk and be heard. I invite you to speak openly and freely without fear of feeling judged or interrogated in a safe space that is just for you. (see me at www. Amanda Ridyard Counselling .com).
As I work in central Bolton - consider the practicality of travel prior to requesting quotes as we are charged to respond.
Amanda has been helping me over the past couple of months. I could not praise her enough for her approach, understanding and insight. Amanda is thoroughly professional in her approach and always greets and leaves you with a smile.
Counselling is a therapy which is safe and confidential, this involves talking with a non judgemental and empathetic person, about any problems you feel you may have.
Sometimes saying how you feel can be difficult with family and friends. You may feel the subject matter is just too sensitive. You may fear that others will judge you or be shocked by your thoughts and feelings.
I met with Susan during one of the toughest moments life's thrown at me. I will be forever thankful. Susan helped me to see not only the reality of my situation but also that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Those sessions spent talking were without a doubt a saviour. I wouldn't think twice about recommending anyone needing someone to talk to, to go to see Susan. It's two years on for me and I still draw on conversations we had if my mind starts to wander. Undoubtedly the most genuine, caring and empathetic woman I've had the pleasure of knowing. Hopefully I'm in a place where I don't need to talk for the long term future, but I know that if I needed to, I would return straight back to this wonderful woman.
Lorraine Jervis MBACP
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor working from my office on Chorley New Road in Bolton.
We all experience challenges in life but sometimes these can become overwhelming and we find it more difficult to work through them alone.
Often people don't feel able to , or don't want to discuss their concerns with friends or family as they are afraid to upset or burden them.
I found Lorraine so understanding and really set me on the right path. I will definitely see her again in the future. Highly recommend.
I am a Therapist/counsellor (in training) specialising in Integrated Transactional Analysis. I work one day a week seeing clients with the charity MIND and see private clients the rest of the time. I work on a long term and short term basis with adult and adolescent individuals. I am trained to work with depression, anxiety bereavement, addictions, abuse and anything the client brings to the sessions.
There are times when everyday life feels overwhelming and it is easy to blame yourself, thinking that you 'should' be stronger or better somehow. This can make it difficult to acknowledge that you need help, and to allow yourself to reach out and accept it.
Being on this page means that you've taken some important first steps and I'd like to encourage you to keep going. You don't have to struggle alone.
I offer a package of care which includes a comprehensive mental health assessment for children adolescents and adults. Patients complete the Adverse Childhood Experiences scale and the bespoke shut-D dissociation and Impact of multiple events scales. This allows me to make a detailed chronology of stresses and trauma affecting the client in this lifetime and collating significant traumas from close relatives in previous generations.
Georgian is an amazingly supportive counsellor.
