I had 15 windows replaced, my front door replaced, and a screen door added. I am beyond pleased with my experience! First things first, when Nate came to check out what we wanted and to work up an estimate, the one thing he did NOT do that almost every other company had done, was bad mouth other companies. In fact, Nate pointed out some of the good things about other Ohio companies. That was a big factor with choosing Universal Windows Direct. Another was simply the quality of the product. I wasn’t spending tons of money, but the product I received is light years better than what I had and what I had seen. Everything was produced and delivered within a reasonable timeline. Once everything was delivered, I had my install scheduled for literal days later! So fast!!!! Now, here’s where it becomes truly exceptional. The installers were nothing short of AMAZING! They came in with the fire and worked their behinds off to get everything ripped out and installed within hours. Now, I own a house that was built in 1900-ish and then added on to before I purchased it. What does this mean? I have ZERO right angles in my house. For the size of the job it took them 4 attempts to finish the job.Small porch.They blamed everybody else for the wrong roof glass,didn’t have any basic spares on the van. They disturbed all my neighbours touting for business!! moved the garden furniture and didn’t put it back ,to drive around the house when they were told not to! Today I had all my second floor windows replaced. Jason and Rachel were awesome. They were both very friendly, and respectful to keeping everything as clean as possible while replacing 10 windows. I had a friend help me move our king size bed, and Jason and Rachel put the mattress back on and pushed it back to the spot it belonged in. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. My sales person talked for a straight. Our told me all sorts of private things about his life, wife children that I simply did not care about. Then the installer show up three hours early without letting me know. After they installed my windows, they did not move my furniture back in place and they left a huge mess in my house. They took my old windows which I would expect, but they also took my screens. These were expensive screens in perfect condition and I was saving them to use for other windows in my house. I called Customer Service to see if they could return the screens and they did the man installer got out of the truck yelled at me for not telling him to not take the screens. Then I looked at them and they were both warped and damaged. I called customer service and they told me too bad it’s not in the contract so there’s nothing we can do. I have 30 more windows to put in and I will be calling champion windows who installed windows on my last house, and did a perfect job. Trust me don’t try and save a penny by going with these losers. The worst customer service. We have been trying to get our patio door replaced and repaired for over two years. They do not order the correct materials for the job. They also did not place the order to replace the patio door that they serviced one year ago. Customer service does not answer their phones, they do not return calls. Absolutely do NOT recommend this company. We need a replacement window due to a fire. I spoke with a rep on November16-she told me she was ordering the window. In January I spoke with a different rep who emailed me both a copy of my “order” as well as a “ETA” on delivery of my window. I just spoke with a rep who informed me my window was never ordered, and it would be an additional 18-22 weeks. When I questioned the rep I spoke with today about representatives from this company providing misleading information about my window being reordered, she became very rude, and hung up on me. The installers were very proficient and punctual. Unfortunately 2 windows were not measured correctly and we have to reschedule another install date. Another inconvenience we had to have someone from the company come out twice. The first gentleman advised the tablet to measure each window was inoperable that day and measured everything by hand. We were notified by the company that they need to come back out to measure again to use the tablet. We understand that this is a process that needs to be completed, but both my wife and I work night shift. So waking up during the morning/afternoon during there work hours was not convenient. More...

We have had nothing but issues with Universal Windows since initial install in 2019. Today, we have up to an inch of ice on the inside of our windows. I understand it is unusually cold out, but when I spend $25k on new windows, I expect them to be the top quality window that was sold to us and NOT form ice on the interior, which is why we got rid of our initial builder grade windows in the first place. The directors have been in the manufacture of windows and conservatories for over 30 years and it was a natural progression from employee to the owners .
