Definitely do not recommend this builder. He ordered the wrong steal beam multiple times and since then everything just went downhill. He told me it was my fault because he changed his phone and lost our conversations with the correct files. How was I to know that? I had sent him all the files in advance. Then he didn't order the support beams in advance, wasted a day of work and expected me to pay the extra daily cost of the person he brought in to help him. Then he hired someone else to plaster the dining room and the lounge, but the work is just horrendous. None of the corners in between walls have been covered properly and there are holes that will need to be filled up. He just told me to do it myself. The door in the main bedroom won't close and the radiator was not installed in line with manufacturer's guidance. He then asked me to make a final payment and since I refused until all the work was rectified, he has decided to send me abusive messages such as, and I quote, "you will burn in hell", "you are just a traitor", "you are a person without a heart and kindness", "you were in sh*t and you will remain in sh*t", "you are nobody and have no name", "for this you are in hell, you will burn, you f*cking devil". There are many more messages, but this shows his reaction once I declined to make a final payment of £500 because the works were not completed (there was still the plastering in the kitchen to be finalised) and he left a bunch of rubbish and building materials in my garden (despite the fact that I hired a skip and he let it be collected without filling it with all the rubbish). I have contacted Citizens Advice and I am following their advice, his most recent response to the letter I sent him was the same abusive style of telling me 'I will burn in hell'.
