This gym is okay. The pros are that it’s usually quiet when I go (mid-morning or after dinner), the equipment is generally functional, it’s in Petts Wood so I don’t have to get the bus to Orpington, and membership is fairly cheap. They’ve also replaced the weights upstairs with these shiny new silver ones which is nice. The cons are that it’s not clean, people leave weights everywhere, it smells of farts in some areas, and the toilets are really gross. I’m also often the only woman in the downstairs weight room. After having joined gyms in the past, I was sceptical that this was going to be any different but having moved back to Petts Wood recently and having a sometimes erratic sleep pattern I decided to give it a go. There is always equipment available regardless of the varying times I go, after work, Saturday afternoon, and very early mornings.The age range varies which is great. This has everything neeeded to be a casual gym member or for a dedicated member. If its just cardio you want to work on there are lots of machines if its for muscle then again there are lots of machines. Please note I have only used the coffee shop. The coffee shop area is clean and spacious. A good selection of foods and drinks with friendly helpful staff willing to carry things to the tables if you are juggling children. It is a small but friendly neighbourhood gym. They have a soft play area and a coffee shop where you can purchase sandwiches, fruits, light snack as well as hot and cold drinks along with cakes and pastries. Their membership is reasonable and the gym is open 24 hours which is very handy if you have a hectic schedule. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
By setting short, medium and long term goals that are achievable. Being available for any questions or queries that the client may have, listening to them if they dislike any exercises or find any ones to hard. Making the training enjoyable, giving advice on a spectrum of things that can affect training in a positive and negative way.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There is no secret to getting the body of your dreams. Everyone is unique ,no two bodies are the same and every client is an individual. You work with each person as an individual, their goals, commitment, time available to train, mental wellness, nutrition habits.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people towards the goal they have set, enjoying their progress with them as they reach each stage of their long term goal. Watching the change in their bodies, health and well being.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been training for many years. Have seen people not receiving the help and guidance that they needed and in most cases paying for. I decided to help people, give them the guidance, training and results that they wanted and the guidance that they deserve.

With regards to online training, I am able to do zoom calls and provide clients with videos, workouts, nutrition advice. I have a large range of equipment and am able to travel to clients homes, places of work or outdoors
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
When at the gym I clean the equipment that im using before and after. When training outside or other remote location equipment is cleaned after every use

TRAINING LOCATIONS
I have access to two facilities to train clients. The first is Anytime fitness in Orpington, recently refurbished, smaller but very friendly, well equipped, use of the exercise studio. Any clients I bring there do not have to be members or pay a fee to use the facility.
The other gym is Oakleys fitness in Petts wood, a larger gym, again well equipped but at this location an entrance fee is payable or a monthly membership is required.
I have a range of equipment which allows me to offer clients at home , work, or outdoor training if preferred
