I was fortunate enough to get a place in the London Marathon and as I had worked with Daz previously to help with my running form over shorter distances (and continued to attend his coaching sessions), I asked him to help me with this challenge. Daz set me a training plan, which included strength exercises, injury prevention exercises as well as plans for running amd maintaining endurance. It was very different to what I was used to but I trust Daz and his processes and he got me to the start and finish lines! I can't thank him enough. Daz leads by example and continues to train for GB and Worlds events himself. Highly recommend More...

I initially started to work with Daz as I wanted a better running form to see of this would benefit my performance. Within just a few weeks I was knocking seconds and in some cased minutes off of some of my times, 3 minutes off my 10k time! Daz explains clearly the why behind everything he coaches and what he tells you stays with you when you train alone. I can't recommend him enough. More...

I started training with Daz as I had lost a lot of my fitness and mobility due to arthritis. I was also often in pain. 3 months on and the difference is remarkable. I never thought I would be able to move like this again and my pain has just about gone. Daz’s knowledge is second to none and his sessions are really well thought out and fun to do. To top it off he’s a really nice guy to train with. Highly recommend. More...

I never used to do *any* exercise at all and I found gyms very intimidating. Then my wife persuaded me to give Daz a try. I now train 3 times a week and have also become a regular runner to boot . He literally took me from couch to half marathon runner and gave me a 6-pack along the way. I can't emphasise just how transformative it has been working out with Daz. Highly recommended More...

I've trained with Daz for the last 5 years. He takes a really holistic approach to training. The goal is to get fit and stay fit. I was a bit intimidated at first to start training, but Daz is really warm and engaging. Life changing stuff. Do it, you won't regret it! More...
How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
As a competitive “Age-group” athlete and experienced coach in running, cycling and Duathlon, I have helped various athletes from “newbies” to the more experienced. My firm belief is that we can never stop learning and becoming better, more efficient athletes in pursuit of our goals and in turn, us as coaches can continue to develop and learn from a wide variety of abilities in the people who come to us.
My coaching philosophy is in treating each person as unique. With their own abilities, limitations, lifestyle factors and, of course, their goals. So rather than a “one size fits all” downloaded training plan, I see far greater value in speaking with each person and developing a plan that evolves with them on their journey. Making it fun, interesting and achievable, while getting them out of their comfort zone.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There is no secret and the only body of your dreams I honestly believe in, is a healthy one that will get you where you're going.
What do you love most about your job?
I have always loved helping people set goals and then strive to achieve them. I like to push their boundaries a little and surprise them by showing them what they are capable of. Most believe they have certain limits, I'll show them they can go further than they imagined. That gives me real satisfaction.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been coaching athletes and training people for a long time. I eventually realised there a many people who don't feel comfortable in a gym or with the beat them up and send them home approach of many trainers. I prefer to develop personal relationships with my clients, get to know them and then develop a method of training that fits in with their lifestyle and they find fun.
Why should our clients choose you?
My holistic approach is somewhat unique. I not only treat the whole person but also look at their lives outside of training, what makes them tick, encourage them to try new things. I never train anyone I couldn't also be friends with.

Personal Training
Functional training offers a variety of benefits that can improve your overall health and well-being. Here are some of the key advantages:
Improved movement patterns: Functional training emphasizes exercises that mimic real-life movements, such as squatting, lunging, pushing, pulling, and rotating. This can help you move more efficiently and effectively in your daily activities, from carrying groceries to playing with your kids.
Enhanced balance and coordination: Functional exercises often challenge you to use multiple muscle groups together and maintain proper form throughout the movement. This can help improve your balance and coordination, making it easier to perform everyday tasks and reducing your risk of falls.
Increased functional strength: By targeting the muscles you use most often in daily life, functional training can help you build strength that translates beyond the gym. This can make it easier to handle everyday tasks like lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs, and gardening.
Reduced risk of injury: Improved balance, coordination, and functional strength can all contribute to a lower risk of injuries. Functional training can also help to improve core strength and stability, which is important for protecting your spine.
Improved athletic performance: Functional training can benefit athletes of all levels by improving their speed, agility, power, and endurance. These qualities are essential for success in a wide variety of sports and activities.
Enhanced mobility and flexibility: Many functional training exercises incorporate movements that stretch and strengthen your muscles, which can improve your overall mobility and flexibility. This can help to improve your range of motion, reduce pain, and make it easier to perform daily activities.
Weight management: Functional training can help you burn calories and build muscle, which can be beneficial for weight management. The increased muscle mass can also help to boost your metabolism, which can further aid in weight loss efforts.
Overall, functional training is a versatile and effective approach to exercise that can benefit people of all ages and fitness levels. It can help you improve your overall health, well-being, and physical performance.
