Fitness Hub has the best classes and is the only gym I have actually stayed at because each class is different. The trainers really know what they are doing and push you in the best way. There is a really nice sense of community and all the trainers know your name which makes it feel more personal than chain gyms. Each class goes by so quickly and you feel you have had a good workout. Great place! More...

Have been going for almost a year and probably the longest I’ve stayed in the same gym/fitness place. Trainers are very kind, fun and easy going! The equipment is new or fairly new. Having 2 locations for me is a plus, because I like to change scenery every so often, and during warm month we even train outside! Highly recommended! More...

Fitness Hub in Brighton is truly exceptional! I've been a dedicated member for 1.5 years, and it's hands down the best fitness center I've ever experienced. The classes strike a perfect balance of challenge and fun, and the sense of community is unmatched. I've recommended it to numerous friends, and they've all fallen in love with it too. If you're seeking more than just a workout, but a supportive family atmosphere, Fitness Hub in Brighton is the place to be. More...

FitnessHub is a gym like no other. And whilst it’s a great gym with fantastic trainers, it’s also a bit of a social club. Everyone is super friendly and non competitive which is refreshingly nice ! Some classes are super hard and some are just stretchy’ classes for all. The facilities are great with a wide range of machines. Would recommend this as the best gym in the city!! More...

I joined Fitness Hub because I've been in and out of gyms for a few years and have never managed to stay for longer than 3 months because I get so bored. Fitness Hub is the best exercise I have ever done in my life - all the trainers are so lovely as well as motivating, and I can genuinely say I now love exercise. I am gutted if I have to miss a class because each one is so different - old me would be shocked! There's also an amazing community and everyone is so friendly. Best money I've ever spent in my life! I’ve been a part of the Fitnesshub family as a member for 10 years+ and what a pleasure to be part of such a success story over the years. They have the best trainers in Brighton, the best gym members in Brighton, the best classes in Brighton and the best of the best gym owners in Brighton. Adam & Alex are true professionals and anyone who joins will immediately feel like part of the FH fam. Highly recommend for anyone starting or who are on a fitness journey 💪🏻 More...

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It’s been my go to for three years now. I’ve been a member of loads of gyms in the past but this one is a bit different. Alex and Adam have devised a wicked set of classes, all the gear is solid and well laid out and it’s a balanced, non - judgy community of people who are just there to put the work in. I’ve recommended it to loads of people and I see me stopping any time soon. More...

THE ABSOLUTE BEST GYM!! Classes are great - engaging, always with a different twist to keep interesting, and even though it's hard work, you feel you've accomplished something nice at the end, and you see with consistency that you are building your fitness and strength. Now, the PTs are friendly, fun and super competent; they always make you feel welcome and challenge you just enough so you push yourself, to your own unique capacity, in an encouraging way. The people who attend are really nice, I made a few friends from joining the gym which was an unexpected benefit!! And no words are required regarding the location (Preston Park), specially on outdoor Summer sessions! I have never been great with exercise, always on and off, trying different things and getting demotivated or simply bored. This is the first time I've been consistent with gym (or any sports to be honest), since joining Fitnesshub 1.5 years ago and I am so glad I did!! Should have joined much earlier! 10/10 strongly recommend! More...

I've been having PT sessions at Fitnesshub for over a year now, and it's the best gym I've ever been to – the classes are great, the equipment is fun, and it's a great little community. The trainers are all super friendly, and know their stuff. They've all got different specialisms too, so there's somebody to match whatever your goal is. I train with Henry, who's a calisthenics wizard. Adam and Alex, the owners, have always been so helpful and are both awesome trainers too. Highly recommended! More...

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Functional Patterns is a precise and holistic approach. We focus on fundamental human movements such as standing, walking, running and throwing and create functional exercises that integrate the whole body into complete movements, unlike traditional fitness that tends to isolate movements.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Focus on correct movement, making strong connections with your muscles and integrate the two together. The more intentional you become with your movement, the more your anatomy will start reflecting this.
What do you love most about your job?
I've been a teacher for years, working with people in a 1-2-1 environment is highly rewarding, especially when I see my clients overcome chronic pain and other similar issues.
What inspired you to start your own business?
There are countless personal trainers and gyms out there, if anything the market is getting saturated. Functional Patterns is a new approach that is radical in its way of thinking, getting to the root cause of issues and doing some deep work. I want to help people, and FP provides the best means for me to do so.
Why should our clients choose you?
Your clients have done yoga, Pilates, cross fit, and every other conceivable fitness trend there is as well as extreme diets that left them worse off... If they keep coming back and looking for something else then something is not being addressed. Functional Patterns is here to help them figure that something that doesn't quite click with other training systems.
Injury Management & Prevention
Don't let injuries and other conditions get in your way. Learn how to effectively solve your problems by getting to the root cause, and cease treating symptoms.
Gait Cycle Analysis
If running was as easy as people think, wonder why nearly everyone you know gets bad knees, tight hips, a bad back or a combination of the above? I perform in depth gait cycle analysis so you can figure out what's holding you back.
Boxing & Kick Boxing
Cardio is good for us but it can indeed get very boring very quickly. Why not give boxing or kick boxing a go? Not only you're learning a functional new skill, you're getting a great workout and improve your athleticism. From fun boxercise to precise technical pad work, and who knows where else you'd like to go.
Functional Patterns
Learn the ultimate form of exercise, Functional Patterns.
Strength for Sport & Daily Life
Learning how to do dead lifts and heavy squats is pretty common nowadays. Life unfortunately isn't a well set up barbell but rather chaotic and unpredictable. Learn how to have relevant strength and flexibility that will help you navigate the real world, not just the gym.
