Welcome to The Barcode! I’m Ayla Karateke (Tekkers), coach and founder of the brand.
I offer my services currently at Pure Gym Reading Caversham Road or I am able to do home sessions (large pieces of equipment such are barbells and plates cannot be provided).
I focus on strength building, toning and body fat reduction. I do this through bodyweight training , HIIT intervals, gymnastic basics and weight training.
I have started yoga with Tamsin at Bendy Yoga over the last couple of months. I was/am a total beginner and have thoroughly enjoyed the classes. The classes are suitable for varying abilities and always in a friendly, relaxed and non judgemental environment and there is often a giggle too. Tamsin is very patient and calming.As a busy working mum I really looking forward to my class each week. I love that I can attend in the evenings meaning it works well with young children. Thoroughly recommend.
My son attend 1-2-1 sessions with Katia (Special Mindful Yoga sessions for Autism). He loves Kat and enjoys his sessions with her.
The facilities are great too, I enjoy the hour peace and quiet to have a sit and a cup of tea whilst I wait for my son.
The atmosphere is friendly and chilled, the hot classes I have done have pushed my strength, flexibility and endurance, I come away feeling refreshed and sleep very well! Would recommend anyone to come and try it!
I look forward to my classes with Che on a Monday morning so much. I have been doing the classes for a while now and feel stronger both physically and emotionally. Che is amazingly knowledgeable and passionate about yoga and also in areas such as mindfulness and positive thinking. Her warm and friendly nature puts everyone in the class at ease. She has taught me to love myself, forgive myself and look after my mind. Thank you Che xx
Nalini is a wonderful yoga teacher. She is kind and attentive and has a sense of fun too. Her one to ones are perfect and very affordable. I go to her house twice a week when I can and am so grateful that I find her. 100% recommendation

RJ is run by Richard Furgeson. He does a fantastic set of classes and 1-on-1 sessions. He is a great teacher, his classes are small and fun. He runs sessions all week long most weeks (aside from non-school term time).
I have been doing MedYoga with Davinder for almost a year and I LOVE it! It is the most wonderful class - I never miss it and eagerly await Mondays for the session! Davinder is so very lovely, a little fountain of knowledge. I love the mix of yoga for the body and meditation for the mind. Its just perfect. I feel I handle stress better, feel calm, at ease and have a good stretch. The classes are really friendly too. Would highly, highly, highly recommend!
I can't recommend Phil's yoga classes enough. I was a very nervous (and inflexible) newbie but these classes are so accessible I had nothing to fear. Very effective, with a range of options for each pose provided so no matter where you are you feel like you're taking part with the class. I was amazed at how quickly progress came and within a couple of months I could shoulder stand, which seemed impossible at the start. These classes are a really relaxing time and great self - care but don't be fooled that you're not also getting a great stretch and challenge. Phil is also very lovely. Highly, highly recommend.
Millstream pilates runs the best pilates classes I've been to. Excellent teachers- Megan and Claire. They explain things really well and actually tell you why you're doing the exercises you are. These classes have helped enormously with back pain. Can't thank them enough!
