  • What do reflexologists do? - Reflexologists help you find relief from pain and other ailments by putting pressure on certain parts of your hands and feet that they believe influence the organs, limbs, nervous system, hormones and even levels of inflammation.
  • How does reflexology work? - You may experience pain in one part of your body while the cause is elsewhere. Reflexologists use gentle massage techniques to find the real source of your problem. By massaging hands and feet in the areas pertaining to where the problem originates the procedures may bring relief after a few sessions. This can be attributed to relieving stress, dealing with inflammation, improving blood flow or releasing chemicals such as endorphins. When these processes help the body reach homeostasis you can handle stress or injuries better.
  • Do reflexologists have governing bodies? - There are medical boards coordinating these alternative medical practitioners. On Bark you can find a reputable reflexologist you can trust. Read reviews and feedback of previous clients so you know you use someone you can trust.
  • Which conditions do reflexologists treat? - Reflexology is offered as a cure—or at least a coping method—in many life situations. During emotional challenges such as high stress situations or bereavement reflexology can be beneficial. To relieve physical symptoms during pregnancy, joint pain, IBS, headaches or poor circulation reflexology can be very effective. You can even use facial reflexology to improve skin tone.
  • Can you use reflexology while you’re being treated by other medical professionals? - Because reflexology is non-invasive it can be used parallel to other medical treatments. Reflexologists usually apply only natural oils which won’t interfere with any medication. This means your recovery may be shorter if reflexology helps treat the source of your medical problem. It’s important reflexologists understand your medical history to help him or her treat you correctly. Include basic medical detail in your request you submit on Bark. Help reflexologists who want to quote determine whether they’re able to help with your specific case.
  • Do you know of the many treatments that can be combined with reflexology? - Some reflexologists use additional alternative medicinal treatments to offer even more relief. This includes acupuncture, aromatherapy, therapeutic massage, Shiatsu and hot stone reflexology. If you specifically want additional treatments mention it in the request you submit on Bark. You’ll find a professional who offers exactly what you’re looking for.
  • Are you ready to start vetting? Remember, with the help of Bark you don’t even have to make a call to receive quotes. Professionals will send you their information and you can pick the best one offering the most affordable rates. Start your healing process today!

As this was my 1st deep tissue massage I wasn't sure what to expect. Lee was very professional and explained everything beforehand. During the massage Lee kept checking with me to make sure the pressure was right and it wasn't causing me discomfort. Afterwards I felt a lot more mobile so it obviously did the trick. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable guy so needless to say I will definitely be booking in more sessions in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lee.

I’ve had reflexology before with Lee but this latest treatment reminded me he is superb at what he does, is in tune with what he can read in the body and I should not leave it so long until the next time! Thank you Lee, sooo relaxing

I have seen Lee before but it had been a while and because I train a lot in the gym I was experiencing a lot of pain which was affecting my sleep. He was amazing at releasing the tightness and knots. I even fell asleep which is unusual for me. I would highly recommend Lee for a massage.
