I started taking piano lessons from Ms Casen about 7 months ago. My teacher is excellent, helping me at the very beginning stages when I started leaning piano and further on. She is extremely patient, supportive and encourages me at each and every step of my learning curve. Although I thought , It would be difficult to learn piano at my age of 60 yrs, Ms Casen has really made is simple, easy and fun, to learn, read music and play piano. We have a good working relationship making each learning session enjoyable. I can recommend Ms Casen thoughroughly for any pupil eager to learn and continue with piano as a music activity. James has a very easy going, joyful way of teaching. My son is really keen to learn but finds concentration and focus difficult. James was able to find a way of teaching him that suits his character, getting to the fun bit in addition to the practical side of learning to play the piano. I would highly recommend him.
I love to get my pupils playing their favourite songs, keeping the lessons fun and interesting, all the while covering the more traditional classical music and theory that is to be expected in exams. I believe beginners lessons should all be about getting a feel of the piano and exploring sounds rather than jumping straight into reading music. I offer online lessons which can be just as motivating and inspiring as face to face lessons, providing there are multiple cameras to portray the hands on the piano/keyboard and the sound is clear you can still have that same optimal experience except in the comfort of your own home!

I travel to most area's and teach guitar, piano, drums and singing. I teach kids & adults, beginners through to advanced levels. I'm DBS certified and I'm an accredited tutor with 'My Guitar Lessons'. If close to my home I often offer the first lesson for FREE! I began teaching in 1979 (aged 19) and will teach at all levels. While theory and technical exercises are necessary, these will be kept to a minimum with the focus on playing the instrument .
Key Lessons offers both face to face and online music lessons to any one who wants to learn music- we teach all levels, all ages and all instruments! Our tutors are DBS checked, referenced and experienced and we provide a FREE TRIAL lesson as we feel it is key for you to find the right tutor for you to learn music. Key Lessons is pretty unique as it is run by an ex-music tutor who knows the needs of both the client and the student well after 16 years experience.
I teach Piano to beginners of any age and anyone wishing to take ABRSM Piano Grade Exams. I have been teaching online during the pandemic and have two cameras so it's easy to see the keyboard. I have taught many beginners online. I particularly enjoy teaching children, having previously worked as a Primary School Teacher (mainly Reception, Year 1 and 2). My lessons are carefully prepared and tailored to each pupil.

Polina is a classically educated musician with the great understanding of children. My son (14) not only enjoyed his weekly lessons with her but also was looking forward to practice on his own. Polina tutored him for more than two years during which he successfully passed his Grade 5 as well as won an intermediate piano competition at his school (RGS) this summer. Polina managed to navigate his teenage moods and balance his music practice with the competing academic pressure of the school. Moreover she kept him motivated to continue his music practice and go for the next level after Polina moved out of Guildford. Thank you very much Polina for two fantastic years, we are ready to provide further references if anyone interested.
