I am a fully qualified teacher who worked in a primary school for over ten years. I have experience with learning difficulties of all kinds and I've taught adults to read and write. I love my job as a tutor so much that it doesn’t feel like work. I usually have my clients for years and very rarely have to advertise, as I get referrals and teach siblings. My recent students have started secondary schools and for the first time in years I am advertising.

We have known Helen since she started tutoring our eldest almost 5 years ago and since then she has been an amazing tutor to our youngest also. I have highly recommended Helen to friends and family who now also tutor their children. She is very patient and personable. Her guidance and excellent teaching has helped my kids immensely through their primary schooling years.

I sourced Katie when my sons predicted grades were not where he needed to be to get on his apprenticeship. Katie comes prepared for each session based on my sons weaknesses and has helped build his confidence in maths no end. He is now on target for where he needs to be based on his latest mocks and is feeling a lot more confident about the subject and his upcoming GCSE exams. I only wish I’d found her sooner. Alongside all that she is very flexible and has gone out of her way to accommodate us to ensure that my son gets his lesson each week. I would 110% recommend KDBTutoring to anyone looking for maths tuition.

Hello. I am a full-time tutor working in Coventry and the surrounding towns. I am a fully qualified teacher with over 20 years experience in the classroom, with roughly 18 years experience as a tutor too. I tutor Maths and English and at present I am tutoring children in years 5,6,7,8 and 9 and I have just completed GCSEs with 8 year 11s, so I have some spaces left now. I am very experienced with GCSE, SATS and the 11+ exams.

My step daughter has been badly let down by her school and at the end of Y10 was awarded an ungraded for her Y10 exam in Mathematics. Paul responded immediately to my request for a private Maths tutor for Y11. He has been 100% reliable and with a very gentle approach he has really helped her improve throughout Y11 and has built up her confidence in the subject significantly. She now appreciates that it is OK to go wrong and move on to the next question - something that prior to Paul's intervention might have derailed her completely. I am so grateful for Paul's hard work and encouragement this year. Highly recommended!

I appreciate that maths is not everyone's favourite subject, and while I would love to provide avenues for discovery of what maths can be, I also know that most people just want to pass an exam which will allow them to apply for their next job, or pursue their desired course, or even simply be done with maths exams. I aim to provide an environment in my sessions that caters to your needs.

I never got my maths GCSE at school so the thought of going for lessons was very nerve wracking, but on arrival George is very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. He’s a great teacher and would put 100% effort into helping me out. I Would highly recommend the Maths Avatar to anyone trying to improve there maths.

Hello! I am currently a student at Warwick University, studying English and History. Academically, I have achieved high grades but this was not solely down to doing what teachers told me to do. To achieve great results, you need to be responsible for your own learning. I am here to help with that. Although I am more prepared to help students with GCSE Maths or English Language and Literature, I can happily adjust to teaching younger students as well.

My 6 year old daughter has recently started online tutoring with Mr Sidhu, her concentration has improved in a short space of time & she is enjoying home learning once again. After lessons she is excited to continue practicing subjects taught throughout the session. Mr Sidhu also helped to alleviate any concerns that I had regarding her academic development. I would highly recommend Mr Sidhu.

I will work at your pace but try to push you past what you think you can achieve. I will NEVER judge anyone for struggling or needing to slow down or re-cover a topic. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they like because I'd rather discuss an idea than lecture. My style of teaching is designed to lead you along the way until you find the answer yourself. I've worked with agencies for six years starting when I was at university studying maths, and have recently started building my own service which is direct-to-consumer, making it much easier to use and cheaper for clients.
I love seeing young people who hate mathematics or even just struggle with the subject succeed where they never thought they could. I love seeing them develop trust towards a maths teacher where they have been given (even if only in their eyes) little-to-no support before.
I worked with agencies for years. Most of them were great. The benefits are not having to look for clients, and if there is a problem, the agent can deal with it. But that also comes at a cost. For the most part, students or their carers pay through the nose and very little of that gets to the tutor. It also becomes very hard to have an open discussion about a student's day-to-day needs when there is a middle man. I also don't find it useful (and the research would agree with me) to fill in a written report every week. I want to talk to students about how they feel and to their carers about how the student it progressing. In running my own business I can set an overall lower price than most agencies, give a more personal, direct experience, and take home more at the end of the day. I can build this service over time, including my website, to be useful even when I'm not teaching.
I had to work to achieve what I did in the field, and I understand what it's like not to enjoy the subject. I have no expectations of students other than that they try their best on any given day. I know they're struggling or they wouldn't need tutoring. In the past, it's always been my patience and understanding that have allowed students to thrive. Unless I feel it is to the students benefit (which is sometimes but rarely), I will not make them do question after question from a book or an exam paper. If given enough time, I want to help students develop an understanding (and if possible and appreciation) of where all of these arbitrary things they're told to learn, come from and where they can be applied. There will be times where I say "you're probably not going to use that, but here's why it works and unfortunately you do need to learn it to pass the exam". I want to avoid that at all costs but I will never lie to a student.
I am not a tutor who uses academic success to sell his services. I have always believed that the people who struggled in a subject but persevered and achieved make better teachers than those who (will still have had to work) but have a natural affinity for it. This also isn't something I do part-time to "earn some extra cash". I give it my full attention.
I will consider travelling in special circumstances but would need to charge for that. Most of my tutoring is remote. Rest assured, I have lots of experience in online-tutoring and can do it seamlessly. I also provide time either side of the session in case there are software issues on either end.
All of my services are now online where I used to to two or three in-person sessions per week.
