Worcestershire

Hi, my name is Andy from VIP Body Therapies. Let me take a few moments to tell you what i can do for you. 1 to 1 Personal Training Specialist including, Weight Loss, Muscle Growth, Toning, Body Building, Body Sculpture, Posture Correction, Forces Preperation (Army, RAF, Police, Fire Fighters and Parachute Regiment) Massage Therapist - Sports, Deep Tissue, Swedish, M.E.T, Myofacial Release Cupping Back Pain Specialist Sciatica Specialist Soft Tissue Injuries Rehabilitation Lifestyle Coaching GuaSha My clients come from a vast array of backgrounds; as a Professional Personal Trainer and Body Therapist I specialise in all aspects of body management and all shapes and sizes of people. I have over 30yrs experience as a trainer and as a therapist. Some are clients who have injuries that need to be fixed and others who have niggles or pain they need relieved or removed. Some clients come to me for general fitness, weight management and body toning , or they may need to get into shape for a specific event (Wolf Run, Colour Run, 5K for Charities, Parachute jump etc), or even to get fit to join the forces. Massage and Soft Tissue Therapies are a different set of skills. For example, it isn't just a case of rubbing in a bit of oil, the skill is in finding the issues you didn't know you had and solving them before they become an issue. Being able to not only deal with Backpain once it's established and in many cases reverse the effect, but i can also help to stop the onset of backpain in its tracks before it really takes hold. Sciatica can also be relieved with the skilled application of soft tissue therapies, massage and specialised exercise. These are just some of the areas in which i specialise. I can also offer Maintenance programmes which include not just treatments for injuries, but a dedicated programme to prevent those injuries from recurring and to keep muscles supple and 'knot' free. I offer both training and massage at a gym where you will incur no membership fees or at your own home or gym, for those who perhaps hate commercial gyms or don't want to pay out huge gym fees, or perhaps need specific types of training, as per the list above. What i offer in terms of massage therapies also very often compliments the skills of the Physiotherapist and can extend your treatment beyond your time with them, continuing your 'rehab' journey. Uniquely, I can also offer you Lifestyle Coaching too, helping to get you back on track. Whatever your circumstances, we all need a little help sometimes with our lifes direction. Questions like, 'How do i stay healthy', 'What does being healthy mean', How do i prioritise my day, my week, my year?, How do i set goals i can achieve?. These are all super important questions that i can help you with. Why not give me a call for a FREE telephone consultation and let's see if your needs can be met by my skills. You can reach me on 07739 092700. Please leave me a message and i guarantee to contact you the same day wherever possible, but always within 24hrs.

What do you love most about your job?

Thats easy! I am privileged to work with some incredibly interesting people and in each case make their lives better. Some people come to me just to have a massage and offload, some people come to me in a great deal of pain and discomfort and need someone who has more than just 10 minutes to listen to where and why it hurts . Making your day and long term health better is my job, and i love what i do.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Simply my own experience. I needed treatment from someone who understood me and who would take the time to get to know what i needed as an individual. Finding that combination proved almost impossible, so i decided to create it. I now believe i offer the very best combination of skills you could ask for.

Why should our clients choose you?

I think my ability to be flexible as adaptable to each client on an individual basis is what makes me so unique. I don't get hung up on who you are or where you're from, i'm only interested in why you're here and how i can help you. I'm also VERY good at what i do; i get results, and ultimately thats how you judge me, but it's also how i know what i'm doing is working. Your treatment doesn't end when i leave your or you leave my studio; i will stay in touch to make sure you stay healthy.

Prices depend on the duration, location, the type of massage and any additional services such as aromatherapy.

Your expert Massage Therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of services available and will be able to help you select the best massage for your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a masseuse today.

Swedish massage - This is a gentle type of full body massage that is ideal for people who have a lot of tension, are sensitive touch and are new to massage. It can help to release muscle knots and is a good choice if you want to fully relax during your treatment.

Hot stone massage - Hot stone massage is best for people who have muscle pain and tension or who simply want to relax. The massage therapist uses heated stones in lieu of or in addition to their hands.

Aromatherapy massage - Aromatherapy massages are best for people who want to have an emotional healing component to their massage. Aromatherapy massages combine soft, gentle pressure with the use of essential oils. Essential oils are diluted before being applied to the skin.

Deep tissue massage - Deep tissue massage uses more pressure than a Swedish massage. It is a good option if you have chronic muscle problems such as soreness, injury or imbalance.

Sports massage - Sports massage is a good option if you have a repetitive use injury to a muscle such as what you may get from playing a sport. It’s also a good option if you are prone to injuries because it can be used to help prevent sports injuries.

Trigger point massage - Trigger point massages are best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, a specific issue or condition. Sometimes areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.

Reflexology - Reflexology is a great option for people who are looking to relax or restore their natural energy levels. It is also a good option if you aren’t comfortable being touched on your entire body. Reflexology uses gentle to firm pressure on different pressure points of feet, hands or ears.

Shiatsu massage - Shiatsu massage is best for people who want to feel relaxed and relieve stress, pain and tension.

Thai massage - Thai massage is best for people who want a more active form of massage and want to reduce and relieve pain and stress.

Prenatal massage - Prenatal massage can be a safe way for women to get a massage during pregnancy. It can help reduce pregnancy body aches, reduce stress and ease muscle tension.

Couple’s massage - A couple’s massage is a massage that you do with your partner, friend or family member in the same room. Other treatments such as pedicures, facials, and body scrubs are sometimes offered as part of a package.

Chair massage - A chair massage is best for people who want a quick massage that focuses on your neck, shoulders and back. A chair massage can also be a way to introduce you to massage if you have never had one before. This type of massage uses light to medium pressure.

There are a number of factors that are worth considering before choosing your masseuse.

  • Choice – It is important to consider why you want a massage. Do you want to find relief from chronic pain or are you just looking for a way to relax? Deciding why you want to get a massage will help you narrow down your options and find the right massage therapist.

  • Comfort- Getting a massage is a great way to relax both physically and mentally. It is easier to take advantage of this benefit when you feel totally comfortable. That is why you should find a massage therapist that makes you feel comfortable and at ease.

  • Recommendations – You are likely to have at least one friend or family member that has visited a professional massage therapist and read their reviews on Bark.

You can be confident that any of the Bark local massage therapists listed will give you a relaxing and therapeutic massage.

You could look for massage therapists with a Level 3 Diploma in Massage or Complementary Therapies. The Council for Soft Tissue Therapies (GCMT) is the governing body for massage therapy and recommends that all massage therapists have taken a full or part-time course.

Before you choose a massage therapist, you could read testimonials and read details of their services on their website.

You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read massage reviews from past customers too. This might also help you get some ideas for the type of massage you want to book.
