Summary: Darren and team did a sensational job on our renovation/extension project and we could not be more pleased with the final result, quality of work and high standard of finish at a very reasonable price. Do not hesitate to use his services, you will not be disappointed.
Project (for context on further reading): Connect an existing outbuilding/garage to our house by building a new wall to create 2 new rooms: a kitchen and bathroom. Move the existing kitchen into this new space and make good the old kitchen.
Project management: Darren took care of co ordinating excellent, qualified tradespeople where appropriate (e.g electrician) and managed the relationship from start to finish, accurately communicating what we had asked for and minimising the necessary input from us making the entire project as stress free as possible.
Price: Darren’s quote was incredibly well priced. Additionally, he saved us a huge amount of money elsewhere in the project without cutting any corners. He sourced cheaper items from returns, repurposes our existing hardware as much as possible where there was nothing wrong with it. As a result, we were able to get pretty much an entire new kitchen fitted within our budget, something we had previously thought we would have to wait til next year to do.
Communication: Darren was an excellent communicator and ensured we were made aware of any delays, upcoming milestones and what he needed from us throughout the project to deliver at pace.
Finish: The quality of finish was very high, with all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed as you would hope from a professional. Darren takes pride in ensuring that the finish is the same standard he would expect in his own home.
Tidiness: Wherever possible, Darren made sure that it was comfortable to still live and use our kitchen/home whilst the work was ongoing. He also ensured that the house was left tidy each day and put up sheets when necessary to minimise dust spreading throughout the house. Darren did all the small things like making sure the washing machine and sink were useable throughout.
I cannot recommend Darren highly enough and hope to see him soon with further projects we have our eyes set on now that Darren has shown us what is possible and has our full trust.
