Hunters Bark

My name is Emma Taylor and I live in Sheffield near Endcliffe Park. I offer pet care and dog walking in Endcliffe and the surrounding areas, including Greystones, Brincliffe, Fulwood and Ranmoor. In my past job I was known as the local pet sitter, which gave me the idea to start my own business almost 2 years ago. Many of my old colleagues are still regular clients. I have two of my own dogs. Oscar, is a working cocker spaniel. He is such a happy little ball of energy and joins me on most of my group walks. Oscar absolutely loves a good game of ‘fetch’ and always finds time to have a little play with the rest of the pack, usually starting a game that everyone can join in with. Duke is a Puggle, which is a Pug x Beagle, he absolutely adores all of his friends that he gets to meet every day and always makes a lot of noise introducing himself to them and playing. Duke also loves a good game of ‘fetch’ but mostly so that he can get the other dogs to chase him when he does manage to beat them to the ball. There is nothing that Oscar, Duke and I love more than being outside, going for a muddy, rainy walk in the countryside. In fact the muddier and rainier the better in our opinions.

What do you love most about your job?

I absolutely adore animals, both large and small so the thing that I love most about this job is that I get to spend time with animals every single day. Its an absolute dream to be spending every day doing something that I wake up looking forward to. I also love that the majority of my time is spent in the fresh air, even when its cold and rainy outside it's still much better than being trapped in an office.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having spent the last 10 years of my life working in office environments I decided to change my career path to do something that I love. In my last workplace many of my colleagues had dogs and cats and would really struggle to find someone reliable to look after them when they went away at weekends. I soon became known as the dog and cat sitter for that company which planted the idea of starting my own business and making my dream a reality.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am reliable and trustworthy, your pets happiness and safety is my top priority. I have started this business through my love of animals and that is how it will always be. I will treat your dog/ cat/ other animal as though it is my own and will also get to know your pets own personality.
I am currently studying for my diploma in canine first aid.
