After a 30 year corporate career, I was in a bicycle accident in 2014 that really made me look at what was important to me. I set-up Pup Talk to bring fun and easy training games to as many dog-lovers as possible. Playing the right games with your pup gets amazing results. And, importantly, you both have fun while you’re doing it. I want you to feel that dog training is an enjoyable part of daily life. At the start, I walked dogs and did puppy drop-ins. I wanted to work with as many different dogs as possible. I took on clients’ dogs that couldn’t go on ‘pack walks’ because of behaviour struggles they had. Being reactive to other dogs, nervous or especially fearful. I particularly love working with dogs with challenges and seeing their personalities change as they grow in confidence and calmness.
I’m now a full-time, games-based dog trainer, author and podcaster and I help clients and their dogs on-line and face-to-face.
Online training in your own home is so effective. You’re training your pup in their normal environment, without all the distractions of the outside world. Once you both get good at the games at home, you set your dog up to succeed when you take the games outside.
