It has been a few days since we buried my mum and it still hurts. The reason for writing this that we hired Neville from Musiczon to play for mum's wake. He did so much more.
Mum was a real music lover, always dancing and singing. She was also a church goer and believed in God. We wanted someone who could reflect her and help us say goodbye and celebrate her.
We spoke to a colleague of Neville and then he rang us back and spent a while on the phone just asking about mum and the family. He rang my dad most days leading up to the funeral and even very early on the day just to say hello and make sure he was OK. This wasn't intrusive, he really cared.
We knew he also played the piano and organ and asked him to play at the church. He did that for free and was brilliant.
When we got back from burying mum he had some amazing arrangements of her favourite hymns and other music playing,
He helped us make tributes to her and even filled in gaps and read out messages that we could not.
He then beautifully turned a solemn and sad occasion into a celebration and fun party just like mum would have done. To see my deaf old dad laughing and even dancing was unbelievable.
We cant tell you how he is at a normal party or wedding but he was fantastic for us. Mum would have loved him.
I know this is not a normal review and I was not going to send one for this but he really was amazing and helped all of us on that difficult day back in June.

Couldn't be more impressed with Jahmal (DJ Jah), he was extremely professional, kept me up to date at every opportunity and offered some really valuable advice. On the night not only did he mix some absolutely brilliant songs, he was really flexible and changed direction of the track list depending on the crowd energy.
The venue's sound system was faulty but Jahmal pre-empted such an occurrence and brought back up speakers which ultimately saved the night. Not once did I feel nervous about the music situation, Jahmal had everything covered.
On top if all this, he's an incredibly decent and humble person. Absolute pleasure to deal with and no surprise most of my crowd wanted his details during the night. Thank you Jahmal, ten out ten for me!
