Great Yeldham, Essex

‘21 Certificate of Excellence

I offer a confidential and safe environment within which you can discuss your current issues and feelings without judgement. As an integrative counsellor I am trained in a number of different models, meaning I can tailor my approach specifically to your requirements. Together we will work out the way forward and the time required remains flexible; unlike the NHS where they can only offer 6-8 sessions, here the sessions continue until you are ready to leave. Appointments are available Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00 and Saturday 08:00 - 13:00 at either Clare, Suffolk or Great Yeldham, Essex. Clare has wheelchair access and both practices provide free parking. Prices for counselling per session start at £50 for individuals, £65 for couples and £40 for trainee counsellors. Hypnotherapy start at £65 per session, Concessions by agreement. Client feedback "Thank you for your help and support over the past few weeks. With your help I now feel more peaceful and settled, plus I am now sleeping better." - BG "With your guidance I now believe I am becoming a better "adult!" - ST "The practicality of the sessions was amazing, yet the emotional & complete non judgemental support & understanding from Glenda is what helped me to change my perspective on the areas of focus. I felt safe, I totally trusted the process with Glenda, and as much as I talked, (& opened up emotionally) Glenda helped me sum up, which gave me a greater self awareness and then she showed me ways / options that I could use to be able develop into the person I am now on my way to be now my therapy is complete." - PR "I feel I travelled so far, not only emotionally yet also in all areas of my little life in a relatively short period of time over a number of sessions and that’s all thanks to Glenda. I had no drive, or real desire at times, to take the much needed steps in the therapy, this is because some things were uncomfortable for me to relive, but something in me kept me coming back and every time I was welcomed so kindly and the motivation came from the desire to have the better future I now know from the Therapy that I truly deserve, and without Glenda I would NEVER have been able to make that transition." - CD

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing the transformation of people, as they work through the process and having been allowed to travel on that journey with them.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Being in control of my time and destiny - Having worked in the Finance Industry for many years and seeing how people are "managed" at work, the impacts of poor life/work balance, I felt it was time to start making a difference for others.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have a wealth of life experience, including working in the Financial industry and Public Sector for a number of years. I truly understand the stress and anxiety that work and more importantly poor work/life balance can bring.

Fully trained and also continuing my own personal development, I am well equipped with a number of models to assist my clients with a range of difficulties. I am passionate about what I do and love seeing people step out confidently onto a new path and journey.

I am on panels for Victim Support, SAIF (for bereavement counselling) and other Employer Assistance Programmes all of which provide an array of different client scenarios and keeps my breadth of experience current.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Services are provided face to face (Covid issues permitting) as well as by secure video conference.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

When able to use my clinic, I have extended the space between me and the client to be in excess of the 2 meter rule. Hand sanitiser is available to clients who haven't brought their own. Water is no longer offered to remove the risk of contamination on glasses etc. Waiting room large enough to maintain social distancing.
