I began counselling sessions with Catherine after suffering from extreme stress and anxiety at work and in my home life. The stress and anxiety had got to the stage where I did not even want to leave the house. Catherine helped me understand where my problems had originated from , why the problems were happening, and gave me the mental tools I needed to recover from my issues.I am now back at work and am better equipped to deal with work/life balance in general. I regard the counselling I received from Catherine to be the main reason that I am now able to do this.
Sue Cziraky Psychotherapy
Are you finding it difficult to cope? Perhaps life's pressures have left you feeling depressed or feeling increasingly stressed and anxious? All too often modern living can leave us with very little space to reflect about our own needs. Our relationships and health can suffer as a result. Psychotherapy can be helpful when emotional suffering becomes too much and at times of crisis when life can feel difficult or unmanageable.
I am a fully qualified and experienced BACP registered psychotherapy and counselling practitioner in individual therapy with extensive knowledge and experience working with adults experiencing depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and crises.
I provide a safe space to explore what may be contributing to your current difficulties.
Counselling/Psychotherapy can help us understand better how we behave, what motivates us, and how past experiences can affect current behaviour.
By expressing whatever is uppermost in our mind, feelings, thoughts, wishes, fears, memories and dreams can be explored within the safety of the therapeutic relationship. The aim being to enable us to find more appropriate ways of coping with our difficulties and to bring about changes in our thinking, feeling and behaviour.
I provide a safe, gentle and non judgemental space to talk. As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I accept that as individuals we are all unique and have different needs when seeking therapy and support. I believe that it is ultimately the relationship between the client and therapist that is fundamental for a trusting, understanding and safe therapeutic alliance and this allows for the opportunity to explore your feelings, emotions, relationships, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour.
Thank you Alla! We came at the point that I did not believe it would be possible to stay together, but we are getting on so much better. We ended our therapy today, because we believe we learned how to manage our disagreements and we feel so much closer.
