Time Out Drum Therapy

‘21 Certificate of Excellence

Hi, I’m Peter, the Director of Time Out Drum Therapy. I am able to provide my service on a face to face basis or remotely online and by phone. I started my business over 10 years ago, having previously qualified and worked as a social worker and probation officer for 15 years. I offer a professional and confidential service that supports people with change and self-discovery. My practice is centered on a therapeutic model, I work with diverse groups of people who are challenged and affected by issues around their feelings and emotional distress. These have resulted from experiences in their life which have impacted upon how they cope and how they feel. These issues may lead to feelings of anxiety and depression, stress, anger, problems with low self-esteem and negative or suicidal thoughts. We also work with couples to improve communication and resolve conflict. During our sessions, we listen to, consider and explore the issues presented and use programmes of intervention to empower and enable change, bringing about self-realisation, self-worth and an opportunity for people to realise their full potential. I work both physically and remotely, in many different environments, wherever the need is identified, including private homes, schools, care homes, hospitals etc. Some work can include helping people with issues around mobility. There is feedback from some schools on the website and some reviews from current and previous clients. Please contact me if you wish to discuss your needs on 078•• •••••• or by email to: e•••••@••••.co.uk, or find me on Facebook via the website: www.timeoutdrumtherapy.co.uk Thank you and I look forward to meeting with you. What do you love most about your job?

I love connecting with and supporting people and being able to enable and empower change. It’s a pleasure to be helping people to become inspired and their true selves.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I wanted to bring a different perspective to this area of work and be able to create and provide a unique opportunity for people to discuss and consider issues affecting them and encourage, empower and motivate positive change.

Why should our clients choose you?

It’s key to be able to communicate effectively with each other and to establish and build trust, particularly if trust has been broken. I provide a service which is able to connect, is free of judgement or assumption and which is focused upon people first.
I have a lot of experience of working effectively with many different groups of people.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am able to provide and deliver services in many ways, face to face sessions as well as through remote and online platforms, including Facetime and WhatsApp.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Most of our work during the pandemic, has been completed online, except for some services in schools, where strict hygiene, protection and social distancing is thoroughly observed. Given the relaxation of some rules, we are now more flexible in our approach, whilst maintaining adherence to some guidelines, as appropriate.
