This diminutive sandwich takeaway shop is carefully hidden away in the Redgate estate of Formby and prides itself on homemade and freshly baked food.Priory Kitchen offers the same selection of fillings that you could probably get elsewhere in such sandwich giants as Subway or in one of the supermarkets littered around Formby, but here the produce is fresh and of very good quality (which cannot always be said for its competitors).On my last visit I decided to go for the sizzling steak sandwich, which at two pounds fifty was well worth the price. The meat was tender and full of flavour and accompanied well by onions and relish in a soft and fresh barmcake, resulting in a definite recommendation from me.They also offer delicious pasties and sausage rolls as well of a variety of drinks, crisps and chocolate bars, providing a great choice for your lunchtime treats. Priory Kitchen also offer a catering service which I have had the pleasure of sampling on many an occasion that is just as good as the food on offer on a daily basis in the shop.Try it.
