What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I always say this- get to the eye level of your subject! Whether it’s a pet or a person, eye-level creates a sense of connection. It's one of the things that I often teach on my photography courses is to get low and get creative!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are you hoping to get from a video; are you hoping to drive customers, record a memory or just tell a story? What are you passionate about and how do you see this video being used?
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people outdoors. My real passion is in education and storytelling and I love to hear other people's tales of adventure and excitement. I'm also a bit of a perfectionist and so one of my real loves is finally finishing a project that I've been working on for weeks!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to have the freedom to work wherever and whenever I wanted. I only work with people that I want to and I have the freedom of creativity with what I produce. I'm always learning and being self-employed means that I'm able to go on courses and further my own career at my own pace.
Why should our clients choose you?
I incredibly driven and passionate about what I do whether that's outdoor instruction or film production I will always offer the highest quality of expertise. I have experience in the industry at the highest level and I'm a very friendly and outgoing person. I aim to put my client at ease from the moment that I meet them until the moment the project is finished.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, a lot of my editorial work is done remotely and I'm more than happy to offer virtual meetings before during and after projects. I even offer courses online or through virtual meetings, and I aim to make the whole process of working with a client as easy and smooth as possible.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All of my outdoor instruction is done, unsurprisingly, outdoors. This means that if people want to keep themselves separate or further away from others than I can accommodate that. Similarly, if there are any concerns at production events then I'm more than happy to wear a face mask and offer clients the same standard.
Camera Operator
I can offer high-quality video production using my own kit and equipment. Everything is shot and edited by myself although larger project may require a second filmmaker who will be sourced by me. Generally, my starting rate for this kind of work is £300 per day. Any subsequent editing is subject to duration, but day rate for edits are £200 please enquiry for further information.
Production Editor
I provide editorial work for other filmmakers and creators. I am happy to edit others work for the day rate of £200 per day and that cost covers all post production work and high quality exports including voices, audio, and motion effect.
Everything is edited in Final Cut Pro but can be exported to a variety of different standards

Outdoor Instructor
I offer engaging and fun outdoor instruction for children all the way through to adults. My expertise are in natural history and Bushcraft skills. This includes fire lighting, shelter building, tracking, natural navigation, foraging and loads more. I have been a professional outdoor instructor for the last four years and I love working with engaging and fun individuals. My day rate for outdoor instruction is £200 per day but this is dependant on the length of day. For example a half day would be £100 this does not include travel expenses so please bear this in mind.
Wedding Videographer
I work alongside my partner Alice has a wedding filmmaker. The benefit of having two shooters at a wedding is that we can be in two places at one time this means that well one of us is filming the groom getting ready the other can be with the bridal party. We are both young and fun and loved to work with like-minded couples! I am a licensed drone operator which also means that your wedding video can have some gorgeous overhead imagery as well.
These prices start at around £1250 per day but include all pre-and post production work. For that money you can expect a 30 second short social media video, a longer 3 to 5 minute highlights video and a full length video of the entire day.

Drone Operator
I offer licensed drone work which is ideal for surveys, industrial work, and even archaeological work. I've been involved with numerous projects around the highlands including working for the Ullapool Museum, Cairngorms National Park authority and the RSPB.
My day rate for any drone work is £200, but this includes all pre-and post production work.
Please bear in mind that all drone work is dependent on Geo location and the weather. Well I will do my best to work around these factors, there are some jobs which I am unable to help with. Enquire for further information.
