Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is an approach that teaches and encourages clients to find helpful new perspectives on their current experiences. it does this through gaining a deeper understanding of our feelings and experience, through becoming more flexible in the way we think and feel, and through committing ourselves to what we value most- which often makes us feel better overall.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic therapy is an an approach that focuses on how we relate to other people and how our sense of self is connected to our relationships. In this type of therapy, we identify patterns, clarify what they are and what they effect and where they come from- and then work on if we want to change them or leave them in place.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
In CBT we focus on identifying patterns of thought, behaviour, emotion, bodily sensation, and how these are linked to certain circumstances. We then work on changing our thoughts and behaviours to improve how we feel.
