What do you love most about your job?
What we love most about our job is bringing pure joy to every event we play. There’s nothing better than seeing a packed dance floor, smiles all around, and knowing we’ve helped create unforgettable memories. We thrive on the energy of a live crowd — connecting with people through music, sharing that electric atmosphere, and turning every performance into a celebration. It’s a privilege to be part of someone’s big day or special occasion, and we never take that for granted.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The Urban Party Project was born during the 2020 lockdowns — a time when live music had been silenced, but the passion to play burned brighter than ever. What started as a remote collaboration between musicians craving connection quickly evolved into something much bigger. We were inspired by a shared love of soul, Motown and party anthems — and a vision to bring high-energy, feel-good music to the stage with a full live band experience. As the world reopened, we knew we wanted to be the soundtrack to people reconnecting, celebrating, and dancing again. That drive has stayed with us ever since.

While our main focus is live, in-person performances, we can offer certain services remotely if needed. This includes things like pre-recorded performances for virtual events, custom video messages, or studio-quality recordings for special occasions. If you have something in mind, we’re always happy to discuss how we can bring our sound and energy to you — wherever you are.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
The safety of our clients and guests has always been a top priority, and we’ve adapted our setup and practices to reflect that. We follow the latest government guidelines and venue protocols to ensure a safe performance environment — including sanitizing equipment, maintaining distancing during setup and soundcheck, and minimising unnecessary contact. Our band is fully briefed on health and safety procedures, and we’re happy to work with event organizers to meet any specific requirements. We’re committed to keeping the party going — safely and responsibly.
