Tony removed the old handrail and boards from our staircase, and installed a new baserail, handrail and spindles, for a reasonable price which we agreed in advance. He met me at Selco to buy materials, and got a healthy discount.

We were having our bathroom replaced at the same time, so other tradesman were going up and down the stairs, and we also have two excitable dogs who tried to get in the way at every opportunity. Tony and his apprentice were friendly and coped well with those additional problems...

Our original wooden car port doors were old and unsightly and the wood had rotted over time. It wasn’t a straight-forward job and we needed an experienced builder to replace them.
We discovered Tony through Bark and he was a God-send. He was very experienced and knew exactly how to overcome all the problems, and from the start we felt very confident in what he was proposing. He chose and ordered the material which was delivered on schedule, and was on site to receive the replacement doors. We were impressed with the doors that he had chosen because they were very strong, solid and of a high quality material. The work proceeded according to schedule and, although there were several unforeseen problems, he had no difficulty addressing them and completing the work to our satisfaction. In our opinion he did a brilliant job and we have very smart, secure doors.
He was professional, courteous and always left the site clean and tidy, and he was a pleasure to deal with.

Tony is a reliable and competent worker with good communication throughout from start to finish. He knows his trade well and was transparent with his costs including a detailed breakdown list of materials required and where to source them. He replaced an upstairs bannister, spindles and rails and come up with a solution for us to remove the newel post, to facilitate moving furniture up or down the stairs. He also made up a side gate. Mr Tony did a job of re-fixing my garden-to-driveway door, which had fallen off . It was a small job but his performance was very significant. First, he came to do it when many others were reluctant, as it was a job too small for them, keeping me in much inconvenience. His charges were very reasonable and even did another smaller job without an extra charge! He explained the necessary steps he took and cautioned me for any future problems. Above all, he was very friendly and courteous; (told my Sri Lankan friends where to get delicious Sri Lankan meals!!). I have already arranged a few more jobs with him.
