We had a small leak between our house and conservatory. Scott attended very promptly and identified the problem and how to fix it. The work was completed the following week at a very competitive price. The roof now looks much better and more importantly does not leak. We wanted 2 windows (one replacement, one to be created.) Scott assured us he was a CERTASS approved window installer and would provide the required certification. We discussed spec and detail and he asked, did we want trickle vents? It was up to us, he said. We waited six weeks for window delivery and after further delays, we finally dismantled part of our kitchen for work the next day.

Scott turned up with the wrong sized windows (he had mismeasured.) He reordered the correct sizes with our previous deposit that had locked us to him. After another 6 weeks we chased him up more than once. He was busy working with another company, his main job he told us. Then his driver was ill (turns out Scott 'doesn't drive.') For various reasons the job was delayed by 4 months. We had lived with a dismantled kitchen, waiting.

Eventually Scott turned up with a different team but correct windows. For three hours the house shook and music blasted out. We remained friendly and polite throughout, hoping for a decent job for our £3000. Scott confirmed that we weren't having trickle vents were we? and only said 'I can't force you to have what you don't want.' After a 3-hour whirlwind the job was done, payment was due a minute later with Scott pressing the question, 'Are you happy?' They left the scene. Yes, we were happy with the amount of light coming through the new windows for sure. But not with the finish, the later discovery of heavy dust in every existing cupboard and an ugly crack in our Minerva worktop. Rubble and slate chippings from outside had also been hidden in between the brickwork cavity. We became more unhappy when rain was pouring in through the length of lintel and gaps around window, days later. We phoned Scott. He said he would come in 2 weeks to reseal the window and finish off the reveals with plasterboard (we hadn't wanted a plastic finish) but he 'would do it on condition you write me a good review' and we would need to pay more money.

Another tradesman happened to be doing a different job for us and pointed out that the lintel should have been steel not concrete, that the window was fitted flush with exterior brickwork and should have been inset and that no insulating foam had been used in the gaps to exclude drafts. He said he could completely re-install with correct lintel next day. We sent Scott a video of the water pouring in. He agreed it needed doing soon but was busy and it took heavy negotiation for him to refund £800 (although reparation finally cost £1200 but we were still very grateful.) We would let it be, we thought, leave no review at all and move on. But the story doesn't end there.

Several weeks later, the promised CERTASS certificate still had not arrived. We contacted Scott. He said he was on holiday. We contacted him again. He said we can't have certification because we chose not to have trickle vents but he would return to install them for a cost and then supply the paperwork. At this stage we agreed he had gone too far. At no time during our discussions had Scott warned us that certification depended upon trickle vents. We will pay an extra fee for council certification and here is a factual review of the happenings with this company.

Being as he is, we have no doubt there will be a clever response laced with clever excuses, like the window was installed that way because we had requested a stub sill (it was a passage way.) Or that dust is naturally created with demolition, what do we expect?The truth is, the job was shoddy, haphazard and unprofessional, undertaken without due care and attention. More...

Hi as stated yes of course you will get dust from a brickwork cut out that is inevitable sorry about that we covered as much as possible we also refunded £800 as you put and the confusion with the windows in first place was not clear on the size from both sides but we took it on the chin and ordered more windows for you The sill was asked fir by you to be a stub sill then we changed that for you with no problrm at all And you have said that we asked for more money to do the revieals that was because we do not do plastering we only do upvc products so that was never part of the job to do the reveals we would have to get a plaster to do that which would cost more As i said we cant certificate for you without trickle vrnts being fitted which you said you do not want fitted at time of ordering we said we would cone and fit them for you at no cost not charged then we can get them signed of and we never said that we are certass registed once to you we would get them signed off via the xouncil also all our windows are windows are fenca compliant industry standard I am sorry you feel like that but we do a very good job as you can see from every other feedback we have hope this helps to clear things up thank you

Scott and his team did an excellent job on my conservatory. The original installer had screwed it up because he didn't know what he was doing. But Scott knows conservatories like the back of his hand. He realigned the roof using the original glass, added a sail, fixed the locks on the doors and reworked the interior.
