What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is knowing I’m genuinely helping people protect one of the biggest investments they’ll ever make—their home. There’s something incredibly rewarding about walking into a brand-new property, using my years of experience and attention to detail to spot things others might miss, and then handing over a clear, practical report that gives the client total peace of mind.
Every day is different, every property has its own story, and I get to combine technical knowledge, modern tools, and real-world problem-solving. Plus, meeting clients and hearing how relieved and grateful they are after the survey—it’s a great feeling that never gets old.
What inspired you to start your own business?
What inspired me to start my own business was a mix of passion, purpose, and frustration.
After spending over 30 years in the construction industry, I saw first-hand how often new homeowners were being let down—rushed builds, poor finishes, and a real lack of accountability. I knew I had the skills, knowledge, and drive to make a difference.
Starting SnagSurveyKent gave me the freedom to do things properly—to take my time, be thorough, and offer clients a service that’s honest, professional, and genuinely helpful. It’s not just about ticking boxes—it’s about raising standards and giving people confidence in their new home.

All surveys can be booked online through our secure scheduling system. You’ll receive confirmation, automated reminders, and can complete all necessary forms digitally—no printing or scanning needed.

All reports are delivered via email as a downloadable PDF with annotated photos and clear recommendations. We also offer a follow-up call to walk you through any findings and next steps.

For Party Wall matters, much of the process can be handled remotely. We can issue notices, review plans, and correspond with neighbours and their surveyors—all via email and phone.
While our on-site surveys still require a physical visit, we’ve made everything else as convenient and remote-friendly as possible—so you stay informed, in control, and stress-free.
