After working in the building trade for 40 years, I'm always a bit concerned about getting work done at home by other tradesmen. I chose Lucian because he seemed very knowledgeable and pointed out a few things that we should do to make the end result evan nicer. After 2 weeks Lucian and his guys totally transformed my garden with a new porcelain patio, wall, steps and pathway. Railway sleepers with white shingle inside on both sides of the garden. Removed the grass, prepared and layed artificial grass. A 7mx4m concrete slab and log cabin. We've engaged Oktav Projects on an extension and interior renovation project. As part of this the kitchen and utility room are being replaced with Howdens supplying them. Lucian dealt with Howdens, arranged for a designer and communicate the various changes. He also negotiated what we thought was a very good final price. The kitchen also needed to be delivered early off site with Lucian arranging that and being there to receive delivery. So far we're very happy clients. More...

We worked with Oktav in March and April ‘22. They were responsible for some internal plastering and decorating, knock down and installation of bi-fold doors in the rear of our house, knock down of an old UPVC porch and rebuild in brick and timber and finally removal and replacement of cladding on the front of our house.

Lucian’s communication from the beginning of the project was outstanding. He was happy to respond outside of hours when we wouldn’t have expected feedback and he maintained this level of communication throughout.

The finish of all internal works is excellent, his team are professional and finish to a high standard.

The external works had some snagging issues where the team had worked longer days and the finish wasn’t as expected, but Lucian was more than happy to fix any issues immediately at his own time and cost.

Lucian had input and ideas to help with design along the way and we are very happy with the final product in terms of look and structure.

The only reason that this review didn’t receive five stars is that communication around the timeline was slightly unrealistic and subsequently the project went over. Despite this I do believe Lucian had the best intentions and right attitude throughout.

Task: Reroof 15 garages with different owners (including several non resident leaseholders) and all with asbestos roofs. Not a simple organisational task but Lucian engaged with everyone, took time to listen and adapt plans and delivered a completed project . One of the experienced professional landlords commented on the good job, better than he had seen elsewhere.
The whole job was an unenviable undertaking for a company and some of the brickwork was much worse than initially thought. Still - the final work looks great.
The price was relatively competitive and the planning and detailed paperwork was the best we reviewed. The timing was nearly to schedule (given rainy weather) and Lucian communicated with individuals effectively and was always approachable. More...

It’s a listed house with a considerable amount of old brick walls and paths some of which need repairing and repointing.
He has undertaken doing some of this work showing sympathy and thought to keeping it as close to the original as possible.
