I chose Bayo because he gave the cheapest quote. Not by much, but by enough to make me choose him over alternative engineers. I regret my choice SO much.

The 2 day install took 5 days because of a number of issues, but the most basic of these was that the whole job was done "on the cheap". Bayo used internal ducting for the outside pipework, but didn't secure this to the wall properly so half of the pieces fell off within 2 months of installing it. They didn't seal the entry points into the brickwork so we have a gap large enough for dust, debris, or bugs or even vermin to enter the property.

When carrying out the install Bayo charge for a scissor lift, but then brought his own scissor lift (that's rated for internal use only) to use on our driveway. The lift failed because the driveway is on a very slight incline so the "not level" sensors shut down the machine.

Bayo decided that the job could still be completed by using a ladder and had someone with him to help do the work. The employee decided to use the ladder to install ducting up to the top floor, with noone footing the bottom of the ladder, in the middle of a bloody storm. Unsurprisingly, the ladder crashed down sideways and smashed through the roof of my garage. Miraculously no-one was hurt or killed when it happened, and Bayo promised me he would give me his insurance details to sort out my broken garage roof. That never happened.

When installing the internal units a few holes were cut and a large gouge was taken out of my bedroom wall. Bayo promised to fix this but never did.

Finally, Bayo dumped his scissor lift in my driveway when he "finished" the job, and didn't collect in for more than a fortnight, despite constant chasing.

I have tried to contact "Seamserv" to get the many many issues fixed, but have never had the decency of a response. There is still a hole in my bedroom wall. The "ducting" still falls off constantly as it's not fit fur purpose. I had to repair the garage myself to stop it from raining inside. And less than a year after installing it the units started flashing up error codes.

All of my communication has bren completely and utterly ignore, even when the unit was due for an annual service that Bayo had promised he could do. Clearly he knows how much he's screwed up with this job and has washed his hands of it completely.

Seamserv/Bayo are an absolute disgrace and should be struck off of the gas safe register. More...
