"In 2017 Bobby May and his team refurbished the inside of my father’s property after fire damaged the upper half of the building. Instead of just patching up the roof Bobby exceeded expectations and agreed to replace the entire roof to give the best possible result with all new timbers and roof tiles, all at a very reasonable price. Bobby and his team did a wonderful job on the property keeping the cost as low as possible for my father. In September 2024 I used Bobby May to renovate my flat. Bobby and his team did a great job on prepping and replastering the walls in the hall, stairs, landing & kitchen and fitted brand new kitchen units and appliances and tiled above the worktops. Bobby and his team then decorated the whole flat and checked the electrics, up rating some power cables and provided a new 5-year electrical Condition Report. They did a great job. Bobby at May and Sons remodelled our downstairs floor - removing three walls to make it more open plan, removing an old kitchen and installing a new one in a different room, then decorating the new space. The electrics downstairs were replaced too. They also sanded and varnished the floor boards, and insulated under the floor boards. It was multiple months of work.

Bobby was good at working out what we wanted and providing a clear quote. We were able to see the previous job he did and the pride he takes in his work. The work involved quite a lot of dusty, dirty work but he did his best to minimise the disruption for us. He had two people helping him almost the whole time and they were really superb in many ways. They were friendly, hard-working, polite, trustworthy and often went the extra yard. They were obsessive about leaving the work area clean at the end of the day. It was honestly a pleasure to have them around.

The end result was really good. Bobby spent more time at the end of the job than I was expecting to make sure all the details were handled and decorating with a lot of care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bobby and his team. More...

Hired Bob and his team to carry out a much needed extension to my kitchen / dining area.

Having been diagnosed recently with some health issues, it was important that the guys were respectful of when I needed "quiet" time, and my requests were always met with kindness and consideration.

They were courteous, well organised, and surprisingly, it didn't actually feel like we were living on a building site!

We now have a beautiful new kitchen to enjoy!

Aside from their brilliant attitude, the actual finish was amazing, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We are four weeks into the work. It has mainly involved demolition so far! And installing steel to support removed walls. It will take nine in total, plus some extra things we've asked to have done.

Bobby gave a good, clear quote. We went to look at the last job he was working on and it looked great. He and his team have turned up punctually, been really friendly to have around and worked hard. Bobby is always happy to discuss the details of what's happening and what exactly we'd like done. Bobby and his team worked very cleanly and quickly to complete or kitchen/garage extension.
He was very good at communicating during the building phase and would always leave the site as clean as possible at the end of each day.
We trusted his experience and advice, feeling that we were in safe hands. He went above and beyond to make sure that the building work was finished to a good standard, not cutting corners.
