What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people and animals feel better. To know that they have a better quality of life after a course with me means the world. I feel very fortunate to be able to offer this service as it is unique in Dorset.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A strong passion for helping others, duty of care, and a good, solid understanding of the healthcare process and spiritual aspect of health has led me to start my own business. I use tried and tested techniques and have worked for years in the therapies I offer. I have a broad overview of allopathic, complementary, human and veterinary medicine so am able to signpost and help patients achieve beneficial clinical outcomes. Please note I work under a diagnosis from a suitably qualified practitioner, I am not able to diagnose. I am a registered veterinary nurse (since 1999) and work closely with other therapists to help you.

I can help reduce pain and speed up healing in a totally unique way to any other therapist or medication.
Infrared laser therapy, specifically the K-laser model that I have, is used by an NHS Hospital for pain management of musculoskeletal conditions and for healing chronic skin ulcers common to diabetic patients. The K-laser is also used by professional athletes for maintaining performance and faster rehabilitation. For example, a badly sprained, immobile wrist treated recently took 2 weeks to heal after 5 sessions of laser, rather than the 6 weeks it would ordinarily take. I've helped a firefighter get back to work in a third of the time his badly cut hand was supposed to take, and he avoided the need for more surgery. It can reduce pain and inflammation in immune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, and I have good success with treating Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.
The laser's ability to help heal poorly vascularised tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and nerves is what sets it apart, especially for chronic pain. It gives people the chance to reduce pain levels enough to start the muscular rebuilding exercises so crucial for getting back to a good level of mobility.

Reiki can be given remotely, and why not enjoy it while lying in the comfort of your own bed!
I also have a mobile service for visiting yards and if people cannot get to the clinic, although there may be an extra charge for this.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I always work to a high level of hygiene however, I have made several further adaptations to minimise the spread of COVID-19. These include using masks &PPE, a HEPA air filter in the room, increased sanitisation of contact points and equipment in between clients and at the start of the day, airing the room during treatment sessions, reducing face to face time as much as possible to just include the necessary contact and many more evidence based tactics.
