DO NOT USE! Very unprofessional. He was very rude to me when servicing my solar panels water heating system. Told me to call if any problems. After he left there was noisy air in the system banging the pipes. I repeatedly called and emailed with recordings of the sound. He eventually (after ONE YEAR!!) set a time to visit, I made sure I had paid for childvare to get home early from the school run to meet him. I was back by 8am, he was due 8.30. He never bothered to call and has never since responded to me.
He keeps changing his business details and website, probably tp escape any customer whose solar panels he broke and refuses to fix.
Saving up to get a proper company in to sort out the mess he left. More...

What a pity…… I liked James and his quote for solar was very reasonable. My panels were fitted early August 2023. I particularly wanted the ability to sell any surplus power to the Grid. This requires a valid MCS certificate and I am STILL waiting for this. It can only be generated by an accredited electrician.I was promised it before Christmas.
After repeated enquiries I was told I would get a visit in late January. This became early February, but when that day came, James arrived without the electrician. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you want prompt, honest service. When my calls are actually answered I have been fobbed off with platitudes and false promises. NOTHING is happening. It seems an accredited electrician is not actually employed . After Christmas I advised James that I needed to get certification by Mid February. I am still waiting. I feel my good humour has been totally abused. I even recommended James to a friend, yet still my requests are ignored. A relative had solar installed recently and everything, including relevant registration documents were issued on completion of the work. So far I have waited 6 months and it is appalling service…. I was very impressed by the patience they showed me when I was having a few problems @home & kept asking them to give me a while longer before I could give them the”go ahead”When James came to install my new Inverter he arrived when he said he would, was very efficient, &installed the new box with no fuss He took the old equipment with him & left no mess I would recommend this company

Had solar, inverter and battery installed by Renewable Home Energy in March. Worked quite well for the first few months but less so recently. Have contacted them on several occasions but never get a reply. Very, very poor after service. Still waiting for a reply More...

My experience with James has been deeply disappointing. I posted on Bark that our Solar Thermal hot water system was not working, Renewable Home Energy responded and arranged to come within a week. James repressurised the system and did some checks and left about 1½ hours later, assuring us that the system was functioning. By that afternoon, it was clear to me that that the system was not working and I left a telephone message to that effect and that I was delaying paying the bill. James contacted me the following day in disbelief and requested evidence, which I did with 3 days of controller readings. He then unexpectedly turned up on our doorstep and demanded his money before doing any more work, saying he could see from my evidence that he needed to go on the roof and he had brought someone with him to make that possible. Even though I didn't believe my evidence showed his conclusion, I paid up and expected some action as I wanted to get the system working properly. He just vanished! I informed the office and the reply came back that James wanted readings taken over a five day period, which I duly did together some readings I had taken when the system was new for comparison. Since then total silence, my telephone calls and e-mails are no longer answered.
I am still at square 1 with no sign of willingness to help his customer with their problem. Is this his idea of customer service? More...

Had pigeon proofing installed by James.It was not done properly and pigeons are still getting under my solar panels.Messaged him directly months ago and he said he will get back to me sometime. He never did.Now I have to hire someone else to rectify what I’ve already paid for.Not happy. More...

I originally was looking for a solar panel cleaner and was contacted by these people who offered me a good price to clean my panels and reinstate my thermal system. after working on my thermal system I was told that they would have to come back and clean my panels this was back in march and I have now been told that it could be the end of may before they get cleaned.so I still need my panels cleaning and because this was the least profitable of the work they are not interested. Unfortunately James incorrectly quoted for this job and then tried to increase his original price twice in order to pay for scaffolding which he had not accounted for. Also caused damage to my roof tiles and personal cars when panel rails blew off the roof and hit mine and my wife's cars. Also uses a separate electrician to install battery connection and they have a poor relationship causing the customer to suffer and leave an unfinished job. Very stressful experience overall. You are quite right, i did incorrectly quote for the job and mentioned to you BEFORE i started the installation the new price was going to be £.... . You had every opportunity at that time to refuse and look elsewhere . As regarding the roof damage , I am sure everybody was aware of " Storm Eunice " which was at the time one of the UK"s " most intense Storms in decades " , What you did fail to add was that any damage caused was convered by my Insurers Chris . . Finally .. I used the same Electrician since starting the business , installing all my Inverters & Batterys. He doesnt work directly for me but sub contracts on a regular basis . Cant see how this is an issure as all my work in underwritten with guarantees ?

i had a very quick response and a quote, but responded that there must be a visit to assess the job before i would make a decision. A visit was quickly arranged and an agreement to start the job. The start was arranged within a few days, they arrived on time and work was completed. Explanation was given on work to be done and any how the job had been tackled. A pleasant encounter throughout. Everything was left clean and tidy. I am unable to ascertain whether the repair has been successful, only time will tell.
