How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Loft conversion No1 rule it’s headroom feasibility to have enough headroom in new bedroom created . Everything else depend where the property it’s located ex : Listed building and conservation area there might apply differently the rules for planning permission so isn’t always easy to obtain permission to have loft area converted .
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
First of all need building regulations drawings if the Loft conversion it’s accepted in area ex sometimes need planning permission for flats or maisonette..once the Loft it’s accepted by local authority LABC then the process started with survey and prepare all drawings necessary for construction of the loft .
After all these Local authority need to be notified and send the building regs drawings for approval.
Once approved the Loft can be started and completed.
