When additional trades were involved they were organised well and were also professional and very competent in their skills. Unexpected discoveries such as rotten roof timbers were dealt without any problems.

Our chimney had been deteriorating over a number of years. Having contacted a number of local builders, their response was, collectively, to recommend rendering as a solution to the growing problem of damp permeating into the loft.
This also applied to the parapet wall dividing our property from our neighbours. The ‘wall’ had clearly had been rendered many times in the past. Pat Cray, made it clear to us that rendering the chimney stack, and parapet walls would have been a retrograde step given that rendering would quickly degrade given the position of our house, on the top of Portland. Pat gave us a comprehensive briefing on what he would do to alleviate the problems, and ensure a long-term solution. He also worked on our young neighbour’s roof which was in a deplorable state. He did this at minimal cost to them. Pat clearly had a keen eye on design and the chimney stack is very much in keeping with the historic conservation area in which we live.
Pat kept us informed at every step: he was meticulous in every aspect of the work. He was also excellent company and totally reliable. I would recommend him wholeheartedly.
