Business Coaching - individual and group
There are a myriad of reasons why business people seek out the benefits a successful coaching relationship can bring. Some may use coaching to solve a problem, deal with a workplace dilemma, or bring clarity to solving an issue. They may simply need support to identify options and actions. Some executives use coaching to further develop a strength, whilst others need to gain confidence or build a personal brand. Senior leaders often use coaching simply to talk workplace things through with someone impartial, non-judgemental, supportive and who believes in them. Others just want space, time and a chance to pause and reflect, for an opportunity to focus
I specialise in career and transition coaching for those in senior roles. This often includes helping prepare individuals transition to new roles or support those newly promoted, supporting individuals enhance their promotion readiness or work through blind spots to gain greater self-awareness, enabling those at a career crossroads or feeling ‘stuck’ to identify options and next steps, supporting those considering a career change to identify a plan of action.
I am an EMCC Senior Practitioner and ILM Level 7 Diploma qualified. I have over 10 years experience of coaching individuals in senior roles. I offer action-oriented and outcome focussed coaching in a sensitive, curious and non-judgemental way, offering appropriate challenge where necessary to help bring fresh perspectives and a greater sense of self-awareness and self-belief.

I also offer group coaching sessions, designed to help teams work through leadership challenges, team dynamics, ways of working or to find a greater sense of harmony or alignment to a strategic purpose. Emotional Intelligence assessments
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) has been proven to be twice as important as technical skills for job performance and the criticality of EQ increases as you become more senior in the workplace.
It is vital for several reasons - 1) Effective Communication – leaders with high EQ often convey messages more clearly and empathically, fostering open dialogue within their teams. 2)Conflict Resolution – EQ helps leaders navigate conflicts by understanding differing perspectives, enabling them to mediate effectively and maintain a harmonious work environment. 3) Team Cohesion – leaders who demonstrate emotional awareness tend to build trust and rapport more easily, leading to stronger, more cohesive teams. 4) Adaptability – high EQ allows leaders to remain composed under pressure, making them more adaptable to change and better equipped to handle uncertainty. 6) Motivation and Engagement – emotionally intelligent leaders often inspire and motivate others, enhancing employee engagement and productivity. 7) Cultural Sensitivity – in diverse workplaces, EQ helps leaders appreciate various backgrounds and perspectives, promoting inclusivity and collaboration.
Overall, emotional intelligence enhances leadership effectiveness, ultimately driving organisational success and, helpfully, is a skill that can be learned though self-awareness and coaching.
I offer assessments and debriefs utilising the EQi 2.0 and EQi360 tools. This service includes single assessment and de-brief sessions for individuals, can be utilised as part of a new or existing coaching relationship, promotion readiness programme or can be integrated into a bespoke career development pathway for you and your team. Assessments lead to greater self-awareness and provide hugely beneficial perspectives, allowing individuals to better understand their behaviour as well as measuring a number of key factors relating to psychological wellbeing.
Identifying your strengths
Could you clearly identify your personal strengths? Do you know the difference between strengths and capabilities? Why does that matter? As a leader, how do you ensure you recognise your personal strengths and those of your team members?
Multiple studies over the past 20 years evidences the benefits of enabling individuals to leverage their strengths on a regular basis in the workplace. These include higher levels of well-being, lower stress levels,
higher levels of motivation, more effective problem-solving, improved relationships at work, higher self-confidence, greater career success, more effective teamworking, higher levels of job satisfaction.
I work with individuals and teams to identify strengths, understand how they can be enhanced and how to adopt a strengths-based approach as a leader. I also help you understand the impact of strengths going into ‘overdrive’ and the potential consequences it may have on you and those you work with.
I am a Master Practitioner in Strengthscope, the only strengths assessment tool in the world to have the British Psychological Society test registration status – the gold standard in this industry.
We offer bespoke sessions utilising Strengthscope, whether it be part of a coaching relationship, a team away day, post project feedback, during appraisals or as part of a career development journey. We provide assessments and development tools for individuals, including Strengthscope 360 and Strengthscope Leader, as well as Strengthscope Team – an assessment tool designed to identify team strengths, revealing how your team scores on productive habits and your team’s risk behaviours to watch out for.
LEGO Serious Play workshops
As a leader, are you experiencing challenges in your team dynamics? Are you working as effectively as you could be as a team? Are each of your team members clear on what their contributions are to the collective purpose or ambition? Would you like to have clearer team principles in terms of how you engage with one another? LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) is a facilitation methodology that allows teams to explore challenges, and situational barriers and opportunities in an inclusive, fun and innovative way which results in concrete and actionable outcomes. This concept is scientifically developed and is a thoroughly tested creative tool for strategy, team, personal and organisational development. It was developed by LEGO® in co-operation with leading strategy and organisational development professors in IMD in Switzerland. In essence it is a methodology that draws on the imagination, integrates cognitive, social and emotional dimensions of experience and intentionally brings the emergent benefits of play to bear on organisational challenges.
I have enhanced accreditation as a LEGO® Serious Play® practitioner and I leverage my wealth of experience in facilitation to offer bespoke workshops utilising this innovative concept. From initiation, I work with you to design and deliver your session to suit your needs, reflecting the key outcomes you are looking to achieve through the workshop.
