What do you love most about your job?
There’s so much that I truly love about being a Communication Coach it’s hard to know where to start!
Sometimes the joy comes from seeing a client realise that the way they communicate with others isn’t flawed, it’s just the result of a series of learned behaviours or habits that can be replaced by new behaviours and habits that will bring about the positive change they desire.
Sometimes it’s knowing that I’ve unleashed the potential of a client to lead and inspire others through their communication and empathy.
Sometimes it’s watching the relief flood over a client when they realise they now have a structured way to confidently navigate a difficult conversation they need to have.
Sometimes it’s in the increase in confidence a client feels when they know they are well prepared for an interview or public speaking commitment.
Sometimes it’s in the excitement a client feels when they know their speech is pitch-perfect and they feel confident in their new delivery techniques.
Sometimes it’s in the way a client feels truly seen or heard for the first time because I created a safe place for them to share what holds them back from communicating, connecting and engaging with others effectively so we can break change and build a new strategy for success together.
...but always the joy comes from knowing that in sharing the relevant skills, techniques and tips I have accrued over time, I have the privilege of leaving a positive imprint in the lives of others; that I start a ripple of positive change that will be felt by all those who communicate with the clients I work with.
I believe an unlimited life happens one conversation at a time, and I truly love helping people thrive in every single one of them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My passion and respect for communication was born from a 15 year career in HR for John Lewis where I discovered I had a natural ability to create cultures where honest conversations united people around common goals.
I learnt how to create space for people to be heard, learnt how to ask the right questions, how to simplify language and concepts, and how to embrace vulnerability to have the difficult conversations that mattered.
Through decades of public speaking engagements from board room tables to stages and arenas across Europe I saw how shared stories can unite an audience and that words have the power to heal, help and empower…if only we are confident enough to share them.
The more I shared my insights and techniques to communicate for connection, I couldn’t ignore the increasing requests for support and coaching that were building outside my corporate role, so when the time felt right, I had an honest conversation with my employer and found the courage to follow my heart and live in my passion.
Since starting my own business, and starting my own family, I’ve realised just how important honest conversations about thoughts, feelings and ideas are in the family unit too and I now also teach children, teens and young adults simple techniques and strategies to confidently communicate too.
Conversations Unlimited was created to play its part in shaping a world where people aren’t afraid to have meaningful conversations. A world where children grow up knowing their voice has value, and where adults lead their conversations from the heart...that's what inspired me to begin!

My clients would tell you that whatever communication-based development needs exist, I am careful to layer on only the additional skills and techniques that allow them to enhance their clarity, impact, and influence without compromising their personal values or integrity in any way.
My mission is always to identify how someone’s true, authentic self shows up in conversation, formally and informally, and to find comfortable and effective ways to boost it when it is lost in moments of discomfort or ambiguity.

Yes, I offer my services online as well as in person, allowing me to support you wherever you are in the world.
Video calls and access to accompanying online resources from my extensive video library and membership platform will make it easy and convenient for us to work together to achieve your personal development goals through mediums that best suit your schedule of work and family related commitments.
However, whilst working online will be entirely successful, I love conducting in-person coaching or trainings whenever I can.
I happily travel across the UK to do so, and where possible this is always my personal preference as I feel that it truly maximises the potential impact of the time I have with my clients, so never rule it out, even if we are not geographically close to each other!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Working in a safe environment and in an appropriate way continues to be a priority, so I ensure I am always following the latest Health and Safety guidelines relating to Covid-19.
