Loft Conversion Stages
1. Planning & Approval – Check feasibility, get building regulations approval, and party wall agreements.
2. Design & Prep – Architectural plans, structural calculations, and planning submission if needed.
3. Construction – Reinforce floors, adjust the roof, install stairs, and fit plumbing/electrics.
4. Insulation & Plastering – Add insulation, plaster walls, and prepare for finishing.
5. Finishing Touches – Install flooring, lighting, heating, and decor.
6. Final Sign-off – Inspection and building control certification.

Takes 6–12 weeks, depending on complexity.

We started in 2001, and from 2012, I worked as a sole trader before officially opening our company.

Our work comes with a guarantee, typically ranging from 1 to 10 years, depending on the type of construction.

What I love most about my job as a builder is the satisfaction of seeing a project come to life from the ground up. There’s something truly rewarding about taking raw materials and turning them into a finished structure that will stand the test of time. I also enjoy problem-solving—figuring out how to overcome design challenges and adapt to unexpected situations keeps the job interesting and pushes me to think creatively. Using my skills every day, working with a team, and creating something tangible that people will use and appreciate makes this career incredibly fulfilling.

What inspired me to start my own business was the desire for greater control over my work, the projects I take on, and the quality of craftsmanship I deliver. I wanted the freedom to build something on my own terms, take on challenges that push me to grow, and create a business that reflects my values and standards.

Beyond that, I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and working with my hands, and I saw an opportunity to turn that passion into something bigger. Being able to work directly with clients, build a solid reputation, and see the direct impact of my efforts is incredibly rewarding. Plus, the idea of building something from the ground up—just like in construction—felt like the right path for me.
