Brushworks

We have now done 4 jobs with Nina and George. The first was a bathroom tiling install, we wanted mitres edges to large 800x800 tiles which other tilers were unwilling to take on. George took it in his stride and delivered a great end product.


Next we used them to install our kitchen floor tiles, Georges approach was considered and thoughtful to ensure we got the best outcome, he problem solved a few difficult issues and had some creative ideas to ensure we had a great product.

We got him back to install parquet wood flooring in our hallway and kitchen and again George showed patience, creativity and a desire to get the best outcomes, taking extra time to ensure we got a good finish.

Finally, when we needed our second bathroom retooling George and Nina were the obvious choice, George identified a potential issue and worked with us to level the floor and get a finish we were happy with.

George built a custom cabinet with a door to box in our newly installed boiler and pipework, seamlessly integrated into the kitchen. They did a great job with our bathroom remodel, were flexible with changes in plan and supply issues, and even made us a custom cabinet for our washing machine and bathroom storage.

My experience with Brushworks has been a complete disaster. Since September 2023. I have been suffering with a rising damp issue that has severely impacted my property . This issue stems from the decking they installed outside my property.

Not only was the decking installed poorly, but it was also elevated higher than the internal flooring, causing water to accumulate and infiltrate my home. Additionally, the external pipework was improperly done, leading to water not draining correctly. Consequently, my property has been irreversibly damaged by rising damp, despite Brushworks' supposed expertise in internal work.

Multiple professionals I consulted unanimously attribute the problem to the incorrect installation of the decking. When I brought this matter to Brushworks' attention, they denied any liability and provided no specific explanation, deflecting blame onto my property instead.

Moreover, the incompetence of George, the individual in charge, is evident, as he struggles to communicate effectively in English. Communication with Brushworks is further complicated by the necessity to go through Nina, who is difficult to reach.

I am compelled to write this review to caution others against the dangers of engaging with Brushworks. Do not be misled by their false claims. Big thanks to Nina and Zao for sorting our new bathroom! It looks really beautiful. Zao worked really hard and long hours over the bank holiday to get the job done. There was good communication through Nina and the quote was very detailed and accurate. Nina also ensured the different parts we bought were all correct and would fit in advance. Somehow my review got deleted! How strange. My boiler is broken, the lights weren’t properly wired (ask them for certificates) they stained my brand new patio even though they said they’d put protective stuff down, everything apart from the tiling is done shoddily and they didn’t speak a lick of English!

It was great working with Nina and her team. Good quality of work and always made sure the customer is happy.

I employed them for 3 tiling projects (Patio, kitchen floor, wall and splashback) at the same property which had to be timed based on the completion of other pieces of structural work and fitting of kitchen units, they were accommodating and happy to be flexible about timetables, as well as helpful in recommending products.

I have used this company to renovate my entire home. This project was special to me as this is my first home. I have to say the work was outstanding throughout the whole process. Everyone involved in the project was very professional and friendly. We have had the team for several weeks to complete several tasks in our house, including the garden decking, in-door flooring and bathroom. The team is very professional and extremely helpful.
