Richard was a joy to work with. He explained very patiently what was required and worked around a busy household and returned twice to enable our home working meetings to occur.
five stars without any doubt

Richard quoted us a very fair price for the work that he carried out, and the work was completed to an exceptional standard. We have recommended Richard to several friends already and will definitely have him back next time we need work completing. More...

Was looking for a way to tidy up the utility room after some drain repairs under the floor. Ric provided some innovative suggestions and solutions and we went with his suggestion of panelling in what is a high traffic area. He scheduled us in, arrived promptly for the job and came back to complete the finishing touches. Very reliable, knowledgeable and pleasure to deal with throughout. He even fixed some electrical issue whilst he was here. Highly recommended and will be using again. More...

Richard is reliable, reasonably priced and can turn his hand to most things. He has done several jobs for us in our new home, including flooring, tiling, guttering and fixing doors and windows. I would certainly recommend his services. More...
General bit-more-than-DIY
Those jobs you just don't have the tools, time or enthusiasm for and ain't big enough for an only-takes-on-one-week-work-job tradesman.
Such as the white door in the photos. It previously had a cat flap in it.
And the kitchen needed tiling after the new cabinets were fitted (but that's not what kitchen fitters do).
Simple plumbing
Toilet leaks, new flush, leaking pipe, tap replacement, waste blockage.
Bespoke joinery
For the shelves that don't quite fit, the boiler that needs boxing in and has never happemed.
In the photos the utility room wall was never satisfactorily pretty as it was plain. It now has lovely mdf panelling and bespoke capping plus skirting - 2 days with painting.
Fixing it up
Think TV Repair Shop, but without camera crew.
It's surprising how much things can be salvaged and not scrapped. Such as the massive shed in the photos. That had broken bits all over the place. All repaired and painted, new gate made from the dismantled swing timber and new swing put up (with mixes for the minor manufacturing flaws) - 2 days.
